Brewed with oats. Spiced with grains of paradise. Hopped intensely with Centennial and Simcoe. Conditioned on 100 lbs of fresh pineapple. Strange and beautiful.

Backlogged. Aroma is of sweet grapefruit zest, pineapple rind, and slight roasty pine. Pours black with a big carbonated head. Taste is nice and sweet with white grapefruit, pineapple, and a great roasted dark chocolate behind it. Reminds me of fresh wookie jack with slightly less bite. Great black IPA.

Growler shared at rb day at the track. Poured a dark blackish body with a smaller foamy beige head. Aroma is roasty, chocolate, citrus fruits, Hershey Kisses and super roasted almost burnt pineapple slices. Fuller bodied with average carbonation, overall just spot on. Flavor is roasty, burnt toast, dark roasted citrus fruit meat and rind, coffee grounds, slight spice and pineapple. Good stuff again from TH.

[weeare90210] Dark brown with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, cocoa, pine, floral hops, light tropical fruits. Taste of roasted malts, cocoa, light tobacco, citrus, pine, and some fruity pineapple in the finish.

Pours dark unclear coffee brown, not quite murky but thick with a beige head and not much retention. The aroma brings sweet minty hops, and maybe some bubble gum, or even pineapple bubble gum. The flavor has a bit of minty hops as well with with a roasted malt and bitter hop balance on a decent body.

Growler shared by whaleman at the Racetrack Gathering. Pours a deep brown to black with a thin tan head. Soft roast, malt, with big citrus and tropical fruit. Medium bodied, big spicy hops, bright and lively. Malt with very subtle pineapple. It’s just hidden under everything, permeating gently throughout. Lovely. Long bitter roast with tropical fruit.

Growler from the source, a few days old. Dark brown with lacy beige froth. Nose is catty with citrus peel, pineapple, mango and spruce. Brief hints of smoke and black cherry. Oily, resiny and chewy with a warming buzz. Drinks like a big stout. Taste is heavy roast up front countered by sticky, spicy pineapple grapefruit. The bitterness of the hops is a bit much with the burnt sugar notes. The pineapple is almost enough but still doesn’t win me over to the style.
