Nowhere near the best TH DIPA but itís pretty darn flavorful and clean. Also of note is that when I drank the beer it was listed as 8.4% ABV.

Orangy! It even looks like orange juice! Good funk, solid grass, somehow clean even though itís opaque OJ colored. Strong bitter with notes of orange on the nose as well. One of the best Tired Hands beers Iíve ever had, and thatís truly something.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
LSAT Freedom Trip #184. Keg at the Fermentaria. Hazy pale golden, thin creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, pithy citrus, tropical fruit and a hint of honey. The taste is tropical, piney hops, oats. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Monks. This is the new batch with 5 different hops (Equinox, Amarillo, Citra, Nelson Sauvin & Motueka) and an 8.4% ABV. Extremely cloudy yellow amber with a large topping of soapy white foam. Lots of lace. Full-bodied complex hop blend. Earthy grassy dank citrus. Bruised lemons. Sticky herbal resins. Pot. Lemon custard. Celery seed. Nectarines. Portobello mushrooms. Yellow peaches. Clementines. Autumn leaves. Apple cores. Chalky finish. An unusual Double IPA. Feels like a meal. Not harsh but not easy drinking.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler pour last week compliments of Joe. Had to try this Amarillo/Galaxy guy. Poured a slightly clear amber-orange with medium head and lacing. Notes of pine, pineapple, grapefruit, light caramel, and rustic grass. Malts were def present in this one to balance out the tropical juiciness from the solid hop bill. Medium body with a very bitter finish. I like bitterness but it was almost too much in the flavor. Aroma was a homerun though. Cheers

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at TH and from a growler. Pours a surprisingly clear yellowish. Very white, thick head. Skunky, dank aroma but in a good way. Mouthfeel is very light for a 9.5% beer which makes this waaaaaay too drinkable. Perfect carbonation. Taste is also slinky, earthy and dank, but all mildly so. Very flavorful. Neither pine nor citrus dominate, each seems to contribute to the flavor. Another real winner from TH. I'm getting spoiled with their IPAs.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Tired Hands on 12/18/12.
Pour: Completely clear golden orange, with a nice finger and a half of white fluffy head. Head recedes rather quickly, and doesnít leave much lacing.
Smell: Grapefruits and grass up front. Some caramel sweetness comes through and takes over from them. A little bit of booze.
Taste: Follows the nose, but the hops feel significantly faded. Grapefruit and some floral bitterness. A LOT of pine... too much even for me. Pretty substantial caramel malt backbone provides sweetness, and almost overbalances.
Mouthfeel: This was nice. Great carb and no trace of the nearly 10%. Very drinkable.
Overall: Pretty disappointed here. Just felt a little old, and the pine astringency was too much. I thought this was only like two and half weeks old, but it tasted like it was fading quick.
