2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cask. Straw-like pale golden color with a small white head. Grassy, sweet nose, hop presence. Some shortbread. Fairly neutral. The taste is light hoppy, a bit of lemon zest, with a ballasting light malty flavor. Slightly bitter finish. Light/medium body, subtle carbonation. Overall, certainly not your typical bitter, this is like a hybrid pale ale. I can’t say that this a noteworthy beer otherwise. Pretty forgettable...

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hand pulled pint into a UK pint sleeve: on 25th Apr 2012 in my local Wetherspoons.
The body colour was pale gold, dull but not cloudy: on top sat a small white covering of foam which tried to leave some lacing on the glass as the beer level sank.
Floral/summer fruit nose although nothing was strong enough to feature or stand out heavily in the mild/weak aroma.
The taste was a surprise because it had depth and flavour a lot deeper than the smells: malty caramel hints arrived along with a citrusy hop feel, summer fruits (like the smell) also added to the overall enjoyment of the taste.
Would have prefered it to have been a bit darker and thicker in the mouthfeel but otherwise a fine beer.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask, Pumphouse, Liverpool. Pale gold looks with a meek white head. Pretty restrained aroma. Flavour was ok with some juicy citrus alongside a pale malt spine. Some half decent hop bitterness towards the finish. Much better than anticipated

Off cask at the blacks head Wirksworth. Session bitter with a nice spicy feel to it. Enjoyable.
