Commercial Description:
Cask; Special for J D Wetherspoon festival - October/November 2009.
This new beer has been brewed especially for this JDW beer festival. You don’t need no education to enjoy this brick red-coloured beer, for which you will want to run like hell to the bar. The superb malt and hop balance in the flavour and lingering hop finish are guaranteed to leave your taste buds feeling comforatbly numb.

A Mes rate. Cask at Baker St ’Sporks.
An excellent clean amber colour with a good white head. A nice clean and balanced hoppy bitter with a surprising hit of bitter coffee and slight chocolate. Slightly unusual but works really well. Think decent bitter with a really tasty coffee hit and you’re there. Very good bitter toffee finish. Really enjoyable.

Handpulled cask at Monk’s Retreat ( JDW) Reading. Amber with an off white head in terrific lively condition. Typical quality beer from this consistantly reliable brewer. Great balance of malt and hops plus several other subtle flavours that I’m too jared to recall.

Pint at wetherspoons Newcastle. Pours gold/blonde, medium white head, taste is balanced sweetness and bitter herbal hops, some apple and fruits, a dry bitter hoppy finish. Pretty good I enjoyed this one.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Reddish amber with white head. Malty, sweet bitter with a slight background hoppiness, some orange tanginess, but other than that just a trifle bland regular malt. Drinkable though.

Cask at the JDW beer fest in the Sir Michael Balcon (Ealing). Red-brown with a thick cream head - the pump had a loose sparkler on. Lots of malt on the nose and just a hint of straw, giving way to a nutty bitterness on the palate. The aftertaste is bitter but with a not-quite-right slightly acrid note to it.

Cask in the new crown, southgate. Alround rating: Pale malt, very grassy hop, strugglign to find much going on here. Boring show.

Cask conditioned handpump Cordwainer Northampton A copper coloured beer with a thick white head and lacing. The aroma has biscuity notes and a touch of lemon. There are cracker notes in the mouth and more lemon with a late hit of bitterness. Not a lot of depth but its drinkable enough.
