Commercial Description:
Has intense hop bitterness, flavor, and aroma. Alcohol content is very high and notably evident. Though the hop character is intense, it is balanced with complex alcohol flavors and malt character.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours orange-amber with off white head. Aromas of grapefruit and pine. Sweet flavor with lots of citrus and malt. Not the greatest but very drinkable for 9% abv. Medium body with mild carbonartion and a sticky mouthfeel.

Rockiest head ever seen on a beer: a thick whack of foam like scoops of ice cream on top of an orange cloud. Gorgeous looks. Leafy, grassy, earthy, slightly floral potent hop aroma. Excellent quaffability and fruitiness and is not at all sticky! Unusual fruit bouquet begs thought: there is no mango but there is spice. A great IPA that is not at all derivative. Must drink this one fresh--sampled a few weeks later and it was unfortunately off the mark.

Insane head - thick and mountainous with whipped cream topping. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Orval would be embarrassed by this austentatious head. Opaque golden-bronze. Absolutely gorgeous. Lovely orangey, piney, kumquat and lime aroma. Fresh and clean. Smells like I should be fishing for marlin. Chewy, sticky malts. Rich, woody, resiny hops. Nice balance. Altogether quite tasty, despite a little bit of diacetyl in the finish.

Draft… Cloudy orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The earthy, floral aroma proffers notes of caramel, grapefruit and dried flowers. The flavor is much the same. A decent share of lupulin, however, there’s more of a caramel malt aura here than in the nose. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Lengthy, crisp, citrus and caramel finish.

On tap at pub. Pours without much head and yeilds a hazy amber. Not too much evident off the smell other than sugary malts with a piney hp dusting. The flavor is a little thin but reveals a bittering hop quality and a pronounced warmth from the alcohol. While not overly complex there are some interesting flavors and it is fairly drinkable considering the high alcohol content.
