smith4498 (370), Miami, Florida, USA Jul 6, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear amber with off white head. Roasty caramel aroma with some sweet fruits. Flavor is sweet toasted malts with slight hop bitterness. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a nice smooth mouthfeel. One of their better brews. I would definately haved this again.
Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 6, 2008 Deep amber with rich warm hue, a nice thick head, and lacing. Toffee and licorice aromas and interesting burnt caramel and pecan flavors. Bread crusty. Balanced, great malt character. A nice beer. Oakes (6966), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jul 4, 2008 Golden-amber. 1/2 inch head. Fresh, toasty grains with crystal and chocolate malts and a light fruitiness. Crisp bitterness, lots of toastiness, herbal hops. Nice complexity. Hint of chocolate. Nice, dry, complex session ale. cbeers21 (408), Miami, Florida, USA May 27, 2008 On tap at brewpub. Deep muddy copper color with decent head and solid retention on the glass. Juicy berry/ malt notes come off the nose at first but then make way for a piney, dusty hops presence to smell. The flowery hop notes are fairly well balanced by the slightly smokey roasted malt characteristics and coffee/chocolate whispers. This brew was served a little too cold and really opened up in both flavor and aroma as it warmed. Not what I was expecting, and not sure how they brewed this "steam" beer, but it is an interesting offering nonetheless and worth revisiting.
