Bottle from The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) Pours a deep brown colour with a thick, fizzy tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, some caramel and slight vanilla. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, some vanilla, slight caramel and subtle brown sugar. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, chocolatey finish with a subtle roasted coffee bitterness in the finish. Very similar to the stout but obviously with the inclusion of coffee. Decent but I guess it’s better on cask.

Too sweet for my tastes but still drinkable. Not enough of a beer-taste for my liking.

On cask at Travelers Arms, Apperknowle - Titanic was the winner this evening, following on from the Plum Porter down the road, this was superb. Deep black, thick lacing tan head - perfect. Nose is coffee, chocolate, vanilla - nice. Taste is smooth and creamy, nice dry end, with a decent sweetness to offset it.
