A red/brown, full bodied beer hoppy and bitter with a sweetness and roast malt flavor and a good strong finish.

Bottle from Tesco. Chestnut beer with tight medium head and patchy lacing. Aroma is malty and toffee. Taste is rich malts, toffee, light roasted malts, a little chocolate and some fruitiness. Medium bodied. Suprising how well this stands up in a bottle. Excellent, morish beer.

bottle @ John’s Grocery / Ipwa City IA --- Hazy dirty orange amber color, frothy sea of tan head, streaks of lace. Good aroma of caramel and malt. Taste is caramel malt that adds toffee and biscuit before adding light grass bittering in the finish. A typical, but really good English brew.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2015 From WLVL Lovely caramel malty ESB. Enough hops to keep things from being too sweet complex flavor but goes down easy. Serving: Bottle

Bottle at Ravintola Kirjakauppa. Clear nut brown color, small steady off-white head. Nutty caramelly aroma. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Nutty, caramellly, even a bit salty. Close to Fullers Esb. Perharps a bit less hoppy.

50 cl bottle @ Oluthuone Pekko.
Pours clear amber color with a small head. Very nutty and malty aroma and flavor, mild hops on the nose, some caramel and dry fruity notes on the flavor. Somewhat creamy and slick palate with a bitter dry malty finish. A straightforward, typical English Bitter. Clean. A bit too English for me though. Decent anyway.

Lovely silky smooth slightly fruity bitter. Very easy to drink with a slight off balance bitter finish.

Reddish brown pour with a good dirty white head. Quite subdued flavour and aroma profiles. Malty, yeast, fig, prune, grass, slight spice. Not bad.

Aroma: honey, molasses, bread and cereal. Appearance: dark clear amber, medium creamy white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: malty sweets expand, caramel, getting a bit dry in the average-long finish. Overall: excellent ESB, great aroma and palate. Pint at the Cheshire Cheese, Buxton.

Cask @ Salhojankadun Pub
My first cask ale. No head at all, clear amber colour. Aroma and flavor have gooseberry, red currant and metal. Slight bite of bitterness. Medium full and flat palate. Doesn’t smell, look, taste or feel like a beer at all. Dunno, maybe I don’t get cask ales.
