Cask - Guest beer at the local. Sweet, figgy nose. Dark ruby amber with a firm head. Flavour is slightly vinous with some cherry but well balanced with some honey malt. Finishes well. A good un.

Cask, Hop Pole, Aylesbury. Served too warm. Copper, reddy coloured and slighty haze with a slight head. Sweet, alcoholic aroma with sticky fruits and butterscotch. To taste this is not great, apparent alcohol, strongly flavoured and sugary with hints of grapes, brandy etc. Too sweet.

1. Cask Stillage at Staffordshire University, Stoke on Trent 15/09/2001 Amber coloured with a fruity aroma. Wheat flavour in the finish. 2. Cask Handpump at the Gaffers Row (JDW), Crewe 26/01/2007 Fruity aroma. Copper coloured and slightly rich on the palate with some alcohol present. Crisp and bitter full malt finish.

Bottle conditioned. Clear amber coloured with a slim off-white head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel and fruit. Nicely hoppy in the taste with some citrus fruit. Full bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Very good.

Pale amber colour with a small head. Immense malty nose. The taste was initially sweet malt, but the finish was quite gentle. Straight-down-the-line beer; no frills, a good pint (sorry, 500ml)

Bottle. Copper-coloured with a medium head. Aromas of citrus and caramel. Caramel sweetness dominates the flavours, with refreshing citrus hoppiness balancing well. Light to medium body. A nice session beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Reddish amber with a creamy head. No head, almost no carbonation and highly drinkable. Qiuite light-bodied - I actually thought the alcohol was lower than what it really is. Malty with a vague, burned note. Some spices and only a weak bitterness. Nice. 020401

Bottled. Amber colour, white head. Licoricy, fruity nose. Roasty, tobacco-ish notes in flavour as well as almonds. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. Lingering finish.
