3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught (@Three Legged Mare, York): Deep golden, very stable and lacy off-white head; sweet - a bit sherry-loke - woody nose, raisins included; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, almost medium-bodied; increasing and lingering bitterness in the warming fruity-malty finish. Very good.....

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Trade Sample. A great strong bitter with a very firm bitter finish. Aromas of caramel malt, dark fruit (plum), and earthy hops. In the mouth the beer presents a big crystal malt character with toffee and caramel which is more than ballanced by a big earthy fruity hop flavour and a lasting bitterness which demands anouther sip. Good beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask, Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Mid brown sorta colour with a thin off white head. Restrained sweet malt aroma, with a slight fruitiness. Similar yarn flavour wise. Quite fresh, with some hops kicking in towards the dryish bitter finish. All in all fairly drinkable, not sure if it was Smithy’s fault about the iceberg thing though ?
