Trade Sample. A great strong bitter with a very firm bitter finish. Aromas of caramel malt, dark fruit (plum), and earthy hops. In the mouth the beer presents a big crystal malt character with toffee and caramel which is more than ballanced by a big earthy fruity hop flavour and a lasting bitterness which demands anouther sip. Good beer.

Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) Clear deep amber colour with a creamy off white head. Aroma of toffee, biscuit and red berries. Taste is malty, flavours of caramel and red berries plus a little bit of orange citrus. Quite rich and light bodied but a smooth texture. A malty, biscuity finish. Clear brown-amber beer with a decent foamy head and a soft fruity aroma. Flavour is sweet and fruity. Apples in there somewhere and a touch of hop to balance it out in the follow-through.
