Cask (Tram Depot, Cambridge)
Dark mahogany, maybe even dark cherry, colour. Very interesting aroma - a nice dark beer, and cherry is subtle. Full in the mouth, some of which is just from sweetness, but it’s not as sweet as I would have expected - more cherry stones than cherry. Bitterness on the roof of the mouth in particular is quite lingering. This is a nice twist and is well executed. Finish is very dry, but that’s balanced by the nice sweet body. That makes it moreish.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2015 Cask at The Roebuck, Leek (Titanic) An opaque ruby amber colour with a thin off white head. Lovely aroma of dark cherries, almond, vanilla and maltloaf. Taste is malty of rich cherries, roasted nuts and a hint of spice. Medium bodied and a smooth texture. A juicy cherry finish. A really nice, flavourful fruit beer. Can drink pints of this.

Rated as a novelty beer. Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham on 30th December 2014. Ruby red with thin off-white foam. Rich, fresh cherry aroma. Rich and intense cherry in-mouth with soft citric note and Roastiness. Delicious, juicy cherry fruits in finish. Velvety yet engaging texture, and full body.

Tasted this at the Royal Exchange, Stone on the 30th August 2014. Cask, handpump dispense. Mahogany brown in colour with a thin off white head. Cherry fruit evident in the short malty nose. Mixed malts deliver a moist maltloaf base with juicy cherry fruit that is subtle in the mouth, along with moist raisins. Earthy tones to the spicy hop resins give a light bitterness to the short aftertaste. Finish is malty with hints of oak cask and cherry peel in the palate. A good session Fruit Ale.

Cask conditioned at The Chesterfield Alehouse, Chesterfield, Derbys. Chestnut with cream head. This has a sweet maraschino cherry flavour with vanilla and a Bazooka Joe bubble gum note. Fairly perfumed, just ok for me.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark red with a creamy head. The cherry is very potent in the aroma and also dominant in its flavour.
