Recently had two poor Titanic beers, this my 11th one of there’s this year and what a quality ale. Had on cask at Cask Bar in Manchester, after Rochefort 8 it was a tough ask, but this was superb. Strong Walnutty/coffee nose, taste of roast, chocolate, bit of lemon. Chestnut coloured ale, very impressed indeed, definitely not what I expected.

Cask handpull, The Shoes, Nuneaton, 14/05/11. Chestunt with a level beige top. Slick condition; cherry and apple Chewits dominate; hay and cocoa hints, astringent afters. Fake apple and burnt wood aroma. Trace of bile and copper. What a frustating brewery.
