COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, special
Brewed for Wetherspoon 2013 Spring Real Ale Festival
This new beer is a delightful coming-together of old and new, brewed using the malts you’d expect in a traditional brown ale, yet with American varieties of hops adding a contemporary flavour twist.

Cask at the foot of the walk. Fruity hops on nose. Bitter citrus taste overpowers the malt.

Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 8 April 2013. Poured a clear, dark brown colour with a dense beige head. Malty aroma with some chewy caramel and dark fruit. Initial flavours of rye bread, some tinned fruit and mild grassy hops. Finish was bready malt, some roast character and dry grains.

Cask Pint at Wibbas Down (JDW), Wimbledon, London in Apr 2013 during Spoons Festival - Mid Brown in colour. Hoppy; piney resinous and grassy hops; good hop bitterness. Fruity; grapefruit citrus. Malty; roasty malts, caramel. Bitter fruity citric hop dominates malts. Dry finish. Brown Ale with a (hoppy) difference. Liked this. Nice Brown Ale!

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Eastgate Northampton 18/04/13. A muddy brown coloured beer with no head. A decent US accented brown ale. Good hops and some chocolatey malts. Smells particularly nice and works well. Late bitterness. Good.

The Larry, Nuneaton, 13/04/13. Deep bronze not brown lined with lace. Neutral aroma: almost nothing. Flavour of pencils, black cherry, nougat, dates and booze. Nutty afters. Sherbet sprinkles. Good but Disappointing from Titanic.
