3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On cask at the White Lady.
Appearance - deep amber and a touch cloudy. Proportionate head.
Nose - lashings of toffee.
Taste - toffee, even fudge. A light red fruits note melded in.
Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tart texture through the middle section. The finish is long and dry with a tart edge again.
Overall - a challenging beer but well worth the grapple.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask at The Metropolitan (W’Spoons), Baker Street, London. A ruby/chestnut coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, malty, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, sweet, malty, caramel. A decent mild, would have scored it higher if it hadn’t been served so warm.
