Rich ruby colour - light for a mild. Sweet caramelly aroma. Fairly full body - sweet malts. Sticky hops in the finish and nice caramel. Very pleasant, but simple.
Ignoring pint I had at Angleterre - that was on its way out. Rune (2744), Tromsø, Norway May 8, 2009 Half pint real ale, fresh from cask at The White Star, Stoke. Partial cloudy, ruby-amber body. Sweet fruity to the nose. The taste profile has also got sweet fruits with notes of dark malts and a touch of lactose. Rounded and dry mouthfeel. A bit too sweet for a higher score (02.05.2009). reakt (938), Greater London, England Sep 9, 2008 Cask @ The Pembury fest, Nov ’07. Mahogany with a beige head. Some dark fruits, coffee and choc in the nose. Taste is much the same with bit of old ale like tartness. If I remember rightly, Ian insisted I try this due to it’s oddness... bobinlondon (786), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 9, 2008 Handpulled cask at JDW, Hatch End, Harrow.
