Commercial Description:
Cask: Seasonal - April and May.
Brewed to celebrate Mild Month this dark ruby beer has a knotty juxtaposition. Sweetness from the dark malts preludes the smooth dryness of the hops. "Nautical but Nice".

Cloudy amber with a medium off white head. Earthy aroma with overripe fruits and caramel notes. Flavour had hazelnuts, earth, caramel and ripe fruits. Finished fairly bitter with some fresh hops. Good balance.

Cask@Kitty’s, Helsinki. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is wood, some caramel and some mild nuttyness. Flavour is quite strong nuttyness, caramel malts, some slight toffeeish notes as well as slight grassy and wooden notes. Very pleasant flavour.

Rich ruby colour - light for a mild. Sweet caramelly aroma. Fairly full body - sweet malts. Sticky hops in the finish and nice caramel. Very pleasant, but simple.
Ignoring pint I had at Angleterre - that was on its way out.

Half pint real ale, fresh from cask at The White Star, Stoke. Partial cloudy, ruby-amber body. Sweet fruity to the nose. The taste profile has also got sweet fruits with notes of dark malts and a touch of lactose. Rounded and dry mouthfeel. A bit too sweet for a higher score (02.05.2009).

Cask @ The Pembury fest, Nov ’07.
Mahogany with a beige head. Some dark fruits, coffee and choc in the nose. Taste is much the same with bit of old ale like tartness. If I remember rightly, Ian insisted I try this due to it’s oddness...

Handpulled cask at JDW, Hatch End, Harrow. Very deep ruby colour with thin lasting tan head. Quite a fruity aroma, turkish delight and rich cherry. Quite enjoyable.

Cask, Lord Keeper, Oadby. Dark red\brown with a dense head. Aromas are chocolate and roast malts with soft spices. Flavours are sweet malts with cream and spices. Berry fruit on the finish. Very smooth on the palate. A good mild.

Cask in the Counting house. Aroma is roasty and small chocolate note, slight tart fruit character, grassy hop. Taste is similar nice mouthfeel very smooth and drinkable, however alround a bit too hoppy.
