harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Mar 26, 2008 Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Slight haze, amber colour, lasting beige head. Bit of yeast on aroma. Herby hop. Very herby/nettley hop. It’s there, but not aggressive. Good condition. Excellent condition in fact, but the farty yeast/herb thing is not for me. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Mar 25, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at Planet Thanet 2008. Golden copper with a thin white head. Big English hops with a bit of tobacco and a decent malty backbone. Nice lasting bitter finish. DanielBrown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Feb 15, 2006 Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Tawny golden. Watery. Some bitter flavour, a bit of metal and reasonable hop, but lacks strength. duff (5474), Surrey, Greater London, England Jul 12, 2004 Cask@Dartford BF. Was hoping for some aromatic American hops, didn’t get them though. Soft smooth texture, pretty decently balanced between hop and malt, and i really couldn’t say much else, which is odd, nothing at all sticks its head out, just, nice soft and well balanced, some citrus in the finish, a bit tangy i suppose? chriso (4667), London, Greater London, England Jul 11, 2004 Beer # 12 at Dartford Beer Festival with SilkTork and Duff. As SilkTork says, this beer wasn’t really ready, so it is difficult to reach a firm view on it. Hazy gold colour. There were some hops in the aroma, but I didn’t detect the fresh burst I would expect from US hops. The aroma was a bit green and grassy. Much the same on the palate. Another day would have probably brought this one on but, as it is, I’ll have to reserve final judgment. Cask (gravity dispense).
SilkTork (4151), Rochester, Kent, England Jul 9, 2004 Dartford Fest. Gravity. Slightly hazy pale amber. Nice floral hops on the nose. Caramel. Tangy citric hops. Crude finish. Not settled fully.
