This beer is dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Take the opportunity and go for the low hanging fruit, this sumptuous beer really is a plum!

Lovely plum aroma in the taste and smell, has a nice sweetness to it. Would definitely buy again.

Sampled from the cask at the Bree Louise near Euston. Dark ruby going on black with a thin head. Mild roasted notes with a big fruity aroma and massively fruity taste. Some roasted malt taste and plenty of stewed plums. Mild bitterness from the hops. The whole thing works very well; not too sweet, but with a great fruity taste. I’m not a huge fan of fruit beer, but this is one of the best I have tasted. An original beer that would be very popular if it was more widely available.

Cask at Miners Arms, Hundall - Rich black body, slight rosy hue to it, thick white head. Nose is sharp and plummy, bit of smoke in the background, some roast malts. Taste is plums straight up front, lots of front, dark and inviting sweetness. Very nice.

Cask, gravity dispense at the GBBF 2015. Dark ruby red to brown beer with almost no head. Nose is amazingly fruity. Rich stewed plum, apricot tart, pie crust, raisin, very light roasted malt, toasted grain. Taste is delicious stewed plum fruit, light bitter earthy hop, light toasted malts. Huge amount of fruit that they’ve managed to get into this. Like the taste of plum tart. Amazingly good beer.

Why have I never tasted a plum porter before? Clearly this is the king of fruit beers - nay, the emperor! Plum melds so very well with all the typical porter flavours. I need more of this beer!

[Waterloo Beer Festival, Liverpool, 2014] - Titanic Brewery Plum Porter, 4.9%. Gut.

Cask in the Cheshire Cheese, Buxton. Pours mahogany with a cream head. Aroma of plums. The taste is fruity with a strong plum finish. Some roasty notes in there too. Nice if you like plums, which I don’t. Still pleasant enough and a bit different.

Very sweet and creamy aroma. Quite a bitter sweet taste. Could be a bit plummier. Deep ruby red colour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flagon from Cellar Door, Four Oaks. Dark brown with a ruby tinge, small creamy head. Aroma of fruits, plum, chocolate and some raisins. Initial sweet taste of plums then a touch of chocolate, some roasted malts add a light bitterness, then some raisins and plum again. A nice fruity porter!
