COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & bottled; Regular.

This beer is dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Take the opportunity and go for the low hanging fruit, this sumptuous beer really is a plum!

Botella. Amber brown like colour. Quite sweet dark fruity plum candy like bit aroma with some roastiness under all that sweetness. Good mouthfeel. Quite sweet flavour, dark fruity plum roasty like, some chocolate too. Rather too sweet.

Cask at Waggon & Hirses, recommended by Jon and Gustave, thanks! Clear ruby purple color. Aroma of very fruity plum on a light toast background. Taste is sweet and roasty fruit. Delicious.

The aroma is amazing - of a fresh plum jam, and it greatly deceives as the beer is bitter with hops and dark malts, very drinkable and interesting. Could be more dark and more dark notes but it’s a porter not a stout. Definietely reccomend!

Butelka. Ciemne o malej palonej pianie. Dosc wodniste.W smaku i aromacie wyczuwalna sliwka kawa i ciemne cukry. Nie jest to porter z gornej polki ale daje rade.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2016 Bottled poured at home. Sweet, malt aroma; definitely plum-like with biscuit/cake mix/caramel tones. Plum/purple colour, clear, poured with a decent tan head. Sweet initially which disapated to a mild bitter finish. Light to med body with good alcohol content. Very easy to drink, definitely plum like taste and highly enjoyable.

500ml dark bottle, filtered. Can’t remember where I bought it. Stunning beer. I love this. My sort of beer. Very malt focused - at times has the dark bready sense of a malt drink. And there’s the aroma and flavour of plums to add depth and interest. Hops are twiggy and robustly assertive, but never aggressive. There’s just the right weight to add a grim sombreness to the weighty goodness of the interplay between the malt and the yeast that is the centrepiece of this totally delightful and absorbing beer. Wow!

Bottle 50cl. Poured into a shaker. Clear deep dark brown, small frothy tan head, mostly diminishing, light lacing; aroma roasted malts, plum, blackberry jam; taste medium sweet and bitter, roasty, plums, bit bubblegum; aftertaste mild bittersweet, roasty notes; smooth mouthfeel, light body, oily to watery texture, average carbonation; has more of a fruit beer than a porter, nice and pleasnt though.

This beer is really really poor! It has no affiliation with a porter apart from the dark colour. other than that it is very thin and light bodied with almost no bitterness. In fact it is quite sweet. It forms a small head which doesn’t last long. The aromas are quite pleasant, very much plum. the only flavours are of plum. it is not rich but more artificial. If you are a fan of porter then you will be disappointed by this as it is technically poor. If you like fruit beers and are not a fan f complexity then you will enjoy this beer but will perhaps not know much about the subject. I actually poured it down the sink I was that disappointed.
