This beer is dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Take the opportunity and go for the low hanging fruit, this sumptuous beer really is a plum!

Botella. Amber brown like colour. Quite sweet dark fruity plum candy like bit aroma with some roastiness under all that sweetness. Good mouthfeel. Quite sweet flavour, dark fruity plum roasty like, some chocolate too. Rather too sweet.

Bottle. Dark bronze with a very welcoming aroma. Fruity with hops in the background. Different and very easy to drink. Really enjoyed this one.

Cask (Crown Posada, Newcastle) - Dark brown in colour. Roasted malt and an artificial plum aroma. The taste is dominated by a plum flavouring and the roasted malts are pretty much in the background. Drinkable, but a bit sickly after a while. A half was more than enough for me.

Dark pour, sweet plum aroma. Taste is truly of plums, lying on a malt backbone with a hops kick providing a balanced note. Really good

On gravity at the Tewkesbury winter beer festival, 7/2/2014. Deep brown with a slight, off-white head. Touches of roasted malts and chocolate overwhelmed by sweet fruit juice. A long way below the usual Titanic standard.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Appearance: ruby red/brown, tiny brown head. Aroma: wow. Plums indeed, figs and prunes too, very berry like nose. Flavour: massive fruity flavour, plums and prunes, tons of red berries. Quite interesting.

The Swan and Rushes, Leicester, 02/01/14. Liquid tunes. Ridiculous unbalanced molten throatsweet flavour, although better than the sherried Attila. Brittle, thin, fake added essence of plum character. Headless ruby. Nose synthetic berries. Not good.

Bottle as part of a gift pack from The Royal Exchange, Stone. Pours a dark brown with a beige, bubbly head. Aroma is very plummy, sweet, slight metallic and a faint hint of treacle. Taste is sweet plum and cherry. With a bitterness comparable to burnt toast. Slightly thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation, overall very nice.

Appearance: Clear dark brown with ruby highlights and finger thick ivory head. Aroma: Plum, very fruity, note of bread and floral. Taste: Medium bitterness, low/medium sweetness and low sourness. Palate: Thick smooth texture, light/medium body, average carbonation, fairly dry abrupt bitter plum finish. Comments: Very tasty and glass lace.

Cask at the Magpie, deep dark red with a fast-settling head and a distinctly plum-and-cherry nose with hints of treacle. Body is initially malty then bursting with plum flavours that blend into and complement the underlying ashy dry-bitter maltiness really well. Bittersweet finish. Excellent!
