A colablack beer with a quite weak and light beige head. The nose has roastiness, nice chocolate, some milky sourness, liquirice and coffee. Taste is roasted and that is quite dominating, black coffee and herbs, quite dry. Surprisingly long aftertaste even the body is quite light, low carbonation. Quite smooth. Succesfully and good beer. The roastiness is dominating but it’s not the only element.

coffee, chocolate, roasty from a black body with a thin foamy head, medium sweetness, very bitter, coffe flavour that turns to chocolate in the finish, very good though it is a bit watery and was alot of fizz when i opened the bottle.

Keg at the GB, Loughborough. Black pour with a thin cream head, aroma is light malty and coffee. Taste is coffee, roast malt, a bit thin, would be better if bolder. Nice though, a bit too chilled

50 cl bottle.
Pours dark red, almost black color with a large off-white head. Chocolate and caramel on the nose, slightly toasty malts and some faint hop notes. Caramel malts and some milky chocolate on the flavor, mild fruity notes as well as some faint cocoa. Creamy palate, a bit thin-bodied but lots of flavor. Quite nice actually.

Bottle from B&M. Pours black with a cream head. Not bad - quite smooth with notes of burnt toast and coffee. Maybe just a hint of cardboard. Decent though.

Aroma has cold coffee, some roastiness and distant herbal tones. Flavour has deep roastiness, licorice, ash, tobacco, some semi-dark chocolate and coffee tones. Also some toffee in the finish. Nice.

500ml bottle served cellar cool in an English pint at home. Black, with a dense beige head. Roasty dark chocolate aroma. Bitter chocolate, soy, liquorice flavours. Nice ashy aftertaste. An enjoyable, unpretentious, sessionable, workingman’s stout.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost black colour. Aroma of roastiness, mild metallic notes and licorice. Flavour of biscuit, roastiness, grassy bitterness, salty licorice and mild grains. Medium bodied and a grainy, salty, biscuity finish. Rich.
