3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Smoky and dry.
Probably my favourite bottle-conditioned stout from the UK.
A bitter, sour (but pleasant) taste. Widely available from supermarkets and off-licences in the UK..

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Davvero una stout coi fiocchi: intensa, cremosa, dai toni caffettosi persistenti e avvolgenti e note di cioccolato. Molto più di una classica stout inglese!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A colablack beer with a quite weak and light beige head. The nose has roastiness, nice chocolate, some milky sourness, liquirice and coffee. Taste is roasted and that is quite dominating, black coffee and herbs, quite dry. Surprisingly long aftertaste even the body is quite light, low carbonation. Quite smooth. Succesfully and good beer. The roastiness is dominating but it’s not the only element.

Keg at the GB, Loughborough. Black pour with a thin cream head, aroma is light malty and coffee. Taste is coffee, roast malt, a bit thin, would be better if bolder. Nice though, a bit too chilled

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
50 cl bottle.
Pours dark red, almost black color with a large off-white head. Chocolate and caramel on the nose, slightly toasty malts and some faint hop notes. Caramel malts and some milky chocolate on the flavor, mild fruity notes as well as some faint cocoa. Creamy palate, a bit thin-bodied but lots of flavor. Quite nice actually.
