sm89walt (168), Norwich and Canterbury, Norfolk, England Jan 21, 2008 Bottle. A deep brown colour with a small, quickly disappearing dark beige head and barely any carbonation. The aromas are subtle combinations of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. The flavours aren’t as full as one would think from the colour of this stout. There are the ocassional hints of coffee and a sweeter chocolate than the aroma, but it tastes nuttier with berry-like notes. The finish is only marginally bitter and somewhat disappointing, but this is a fair stout.
austone (263), Pori, Finland Jul 13, 2008 Dark ruby, almost black with small beige head. Aroma is burned malts, coffee, strong cocoa. Soft & nice. Burned and ashy flavor, coffee, little earth and moderate bitterness. Very burned, close to being over the top, but still not quite. Mouthfeel is a tad too light for my liking. A quaffable stout. azlondon (463), Greater London, England Jun 27, 2008 Appearance: Black (of course), not much head.
Aroma: Burnt wood, little bit of coffee.
Taste: Full, malty, smoky, long aftertaste.

DruncanVeasey (1533), Burbage, Croatia May 21, 2008 Inky pitch stout with a thick tan collar. Aroma burnt and sweet chocolatey malt, bramble and a dusting of espresso. Palate thickish but well-carbonated for the style. Uncomplicated smoky chocolate bittersweetness swimming with tangy background hops. Not quite sure where 4 varieties went, but the bottled beers of this brewer continue to impress....
