3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BlackHaddock (2350) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2012
Hand-pulled pint in the excellent Cock Hotel, Wellington (Shropshire) on 29th Sept 2012.
Lovely amber body, clean and clear looking: on top an off-white crown which provided a host of lacing as the beer sank down my UK pint sleeve glass.
Floral hop nose: mid malty touch as well (mildly toasted/roasted bread/biscuit notes).
The taste was also floral hop with the malts clearly present as well: again the malts stayed in the background just preventing the beer becoming too bitter or hoppy. The malt content added some smoothness but no real sweet infusion: interesting and another fine beer from Titanic.
Nice blend of flavours and very easy to drink.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tombyars (1204) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - MAR 11, 2012
Sampled this ale in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in October 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque orange amber in colour with a thick creamy white head. Faint hint of orange in the aroma, along with a dry prickle of hop flowers. Marked resiny texture to the thin mouthfeel and good lacing initially but this fades away towards the finish. Pale malts give a slight gingerbread quality to the base with hints of satsumas and burnt caramel. Bitter hop resins gives longer tart notes in the resiny aftertaste. Bitterness continues on into the dry hoppy finish. Lacking depth and complexity for a 4.5% and tastes weaker than ABV suggets. Overall, a boring ale and rather disappointing to be honest - especially considering the other good efforts from the extensive Titanic portfolio.

What a beer this is, another cracker from Titanic. An attack on your taste buds of hops, malt, smooth as well. Decent head on it as well, plenty for your palate to consider.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 leaparsons (7069) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2010
Cask, Ale Wagon, Leicester. Amber with minimal foam. Aromas are melon with toffee and floral, spicy hops. Grapefruit with a clean nose. Flavours are sweet toffee malts with lots of grapefruit bitterness. Dry and bitter on the finish. A good traditional bitter.

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough. Copper, thick off white head. Rich fruity flavour, typical of Titanic. Bit yeasty on aroma. Good fullness in mouth, rich flavours, some fruit. Bit of sickly malt too, but overall not terrific.
1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Finn (3090) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 10, 2006
Cask at The Constitution London N1 19 Sep 06. Brown colured with a tiny head. Aroma and taste of medicine. The beer must have staled. Will try it again later since beers from Titanic use to be good.
