3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light gold in colour with a small loose head of foam. Aromas are citrus and floral. Flavours are also quite citrus with some wheat beer mellowness. A fresh tasting hoppy beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Blond with a soft white head. Crisp, citrus hop aroma. Clean hop lines the transfer from hop oil consistency to a dry hop finish. Very attractive pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very pale, very hoppy beer. However, it also has a cornucopia of fruit aromas and flavours - mainly citrus -, together with lots of aromatic complexity. Good balance of fruit and bite on the plate and a nice clean dry finish. Rather good. Handpump, The Leading Light, Faversham, April 2003.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Very pale beer, dry citrus bitter beer, quite chemical in character. Sharply astringent but full finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pale beer with a lager like aroma that has hints of citrus. The flavour also is very lager like. Overall the beer initially tasted like savlon, but in the end was very pleasant.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Cask)Really nice. Bitter and hoppy, orangey citrusy flavours, some tropical fruit (melon?), dry-ish finish, a tasty pint. I had this at the same place as Nuffiled, but not at the same time.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2007 March, 2003: JDW, Rochester. Pale colour and zingy hops in style of Golden Summer Ale. Delightful - lots of citric fruits, juicy, bursting with ripe freshness and spurting all over your chin. A good sweet malt body to balance the sharp fruits. Refreshing, pleasing, cleansing, satisfying. Another hit from Titanic. [3.4]
Sept, 2003 JDW, Maidstone. Dusty smoke ring head. Apple aroma. Lovely soft, creamy mouthfeel with honeysuckle, honey, pine needles, kiwi, clove, bananas, oranges & lemons. An absolute zing of a beauty. Lovely drop. [3.7]
July, 2005:JDW, Holborn. The citric nip is an addictive buzz, while the lazy long afternoon of the sweet tongued dusky maiden is a joy too tremulous to deny. [3.8]
May, 2006 JDW, Rochester Clean and refreshing, though without the zingy appeal I’d come to expect. Just slightly greasy and flabby on this occasion. An enjoyable beer, but a little lower than my expectations. [3.3]
Nov, 2007 JDW, Bexleyheath This is a JDW regular! I normally love this beer, but this was served in flabby condition. The hops are blurred with none of the usual citric notes, though there was a faint hint of lychee. Some flavours noted were tinned peaches, aniseed and paprika. This underperformed. [2.8]

Cask version sampled.
Golden beer with good white head. Spicy, creamy aroma with tones of toast and grass. Buttery and bitter flavor. Typical lager, quite boring.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Lager-like appearance, clear, virtually no head. Somewhat carbonated and not exactly ’thin’ but still not satisfying. Unpleasant bitterness. Sticky sweetness. As it went flat--which it did quickly--it got worse. (cask at Hobgoblin pub, Oxford)

Bottle conditioned. Short head with moderate condition. Hazelnut aroma with a background of malt and, erm, celery. Dry bitter nutty body and a shortish finish.
