Aroma: light notes of wheat, light bread malts. Appearance: slightly hazy pale gold, medium frothy white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: sweets expand, fruity, wheat, very malty, average-long finish. Overall: actually very decent Golden Ale, wheaty aroma and malty palate. Pint at the Cheshire Cheese, Buxton.

Slightly dull golden body with almost lasting head. Short grainy aroma on top of a bit of spice then some citrus. Dry in taste, a little spice coming through, medium light body, mainly hoppy but notice the malt as well.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2004 Cask conditioned @ JDW. Head is a wisp of unappetising bubbles such as might be found on still water near a wier. Base of plain malt with herbal hops and faint citric fruitiness. Bittersweet body with a hint of sourness. Seems like it has the potential to be quite good but was in poor condition. (2.9) Re-Rate. Pale with thick creamy head. tropical fruit aroma. Quite sweet almost cloying with ashy bitterness. Drinkable with a hint of solvent. I think my score was slightly generous first time round. (2.8)

Cask at Farnham Beerex 2010. Pours a pale amber colour, with a good fruity aroma, was a bit thin in the taste, long tart hoppy finish with hints of grapefruit. very clean tasting and drinkable.

On tap in Weatherspoons, Cambridge. Cloudy yellow with slight head. Musty, Yeasty honey aroma. Sweet honey flavour but flat, no character. Overall the beer had a good taste but I feel the beer was not looked after in the pub. I am confident this beer is better in the bottle or from a decent pub.

Cask at 'spoons, Streatham Hill. Pours a slightly hazy gold colour with thin white head. A bit of caramel and honey in the aroma, a bit yeasty. Tastes quite fruity and yeasty - a bit of tangerine, lemon, orange, some honey. Moderate bitterness. Fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
