Titletown Belgian Summer Ale

What a well crafted brew! It pours a cloudy golden colour, lots of sweet wheat on the nose, orange blossoms, fresh flowers- the first initial taste is spice followed up by wheat and fruit flavor. complex, very unique- a nice touch for summertime.

On draught at the brewpub in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Pours a light clear golden blonde brew with a thick and lumpy white head that has good retention ans some spotty lacing. Aroma of banana esters, multi-grain and wheat malt, some yeast and a touch of bubblegum. Taste is light bodied, some carbonation with a yeasty bread and bubblegum flavors. Finish is slightly mild bitter, crisp with a citrusy aftertaste.

One of the brewpubs better offerings in terms of actual flavour, but still having that damned house character that’s in all their offerings. Typical light watery appearance representative of this brewery. Wow, fusel? Hard to believe considering it only has about 7% alcohol. Some nice spicing with bits of pepper, coriander and lemon. Too sharp however on the finish with the spices dominating a bit much. A little harsh as well with the fusels, high spicing and funky house character. One of their better offerings, but still rather poor on the execution.

Clear yellow colored body with white head. Spicy body with some definit funk going on.

On tap at Titletown. Poured clear bright golden with a short cap of white head. Aroma picked up peppery spices, some lemon zest, and a strong yeasty presence upfront with sweet pils and light bready malts behind.. smelled quite nice! Flavor was heavier on the spicy side, but stayed enjoyable.. pils malts and some bread with heavy pepper and clove across the middle.. got too sharp with the spices at the end. The carbonation was really high in this one.. giving a creamy feel across the middle, but was annoying at other times.
