COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named in honor of the legendary Packer Johnny "Blood" McNally, this beer is a hybrid between and American Amber Ale and an Irish Ale. Ruby red in color, this brew expresses a complex and lightly roasty malt flavor resolving into a subdued sweetness that is complemented via the use of East Kent Golding hops for both flavor and aroma.

Tap at Friess Lake Pub. Dark red/brown. Mild malt aroma and flavor. Kinda safe and boring but not bad.

TAP at Titletown: Pour is amber. Carmel on the nose. Nice balanced flavor. Pretty safe red ale.

Served a nice dark red with a decent head that slowly faded to lace. Aroma was malts and grassy hops. Taste was of malts with a slightly grassy hop finish. Palate was pretty good. Overall, a nice red/amber ale.

This was a particularly nice sample from Titletown. And all around a nice Irish red ale. Pours, as you’d expect, a deep red. Aroma and flavor are sweet, but balanced.

You can’t brew it any more generically than this. The epitome of ho-hum red ale.

On tap at the brewpub bar, and served to an imperial pint glass with a clear, deep copper/brown hue, a decent amount of light tan, frothy head foam, and some wavey cling to the lacing. The aroma was toasty, with light caramel, and just a hint of sweetness. The flavor was similar, adding a moderate but firm amount of hop bitterness to complement the smooth malt. Medium bodied and pleasantly flavorful.

On tap at GABF, of course we all know Pittsburgh is title town. Anyway, pours a deep amber color with a medium white head. A sweet earthy caramel nose. A flavor of light citrus and dominated by sweet caramel malts and toast. Decent.

Nice malty toffee caramel hints in both aroma and flavor. Would go great with food.
