UPDATED: FEB 15, 2013 Tap. Murky seabuckthorn orange with a thick, good lasting, nicely lacing off white head. Actually I’m fascinated by how it looks. When I look around the bar it’s easy to tell who is having a Baltic Frontier because it looks so different. Though it may not be pretty by ’what beer should look like’ standards, I’t doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen before. Looks like unfiltered apple juice only more dense, but then it has this fine white head that tells I’ts a beer. The appearance builds up some curiosity as to how this tastes. Will it be crazy or disgusting? Neither. Nice and fresh. Aroma is peach, fresh resin, orange, bready malt, berries. I am not too familiar with the flavor of seabuckthorn, so I can’t tell to which extent it is present. I am however familiar with the taste of juniper, which I can’t pinpoint. Taste is medium sweet and medium+ bitter. Medium body, oily texture, light/medium carbonation. Really long dry heavy bitter finish. Seabuckthorn is full of vitamins. Baltic Frontier should be a part of your staple diet.

Small bottle. Cloudy orange body with a medium bubbly head. Fruity aroma with piney hops. Dry taste with medium to little fruitiness. After reading that it’s "beaten" with sea-buckthorn I kind of expected this beer to be acidic like seaberries but it’s not. Instead it’s dry and grapefruity like some other To Øl IPAs. Sessionable - yes, but with more berries it could have been more special.

33cl bottle from Geers, BB 1-10-2014.

Orange color, cloudy with no head. Aroma of pine, honey, passion fruit, bananas, pineapple. Taste is light sweet and massive bitterness (well balanced) throw the end, quite amazing actually. Light body , slick texture, soft carbonation. Wow this was great.

33cl bottle, bbe 10/14. Unclear, orange beer with a frothy white head. Lots of particles floating around. Hoppy nose at first, then buckthorn clearly comes through, also yeast. Flavor has citrus, pine, bitter hops, malt. Dry, from the juniper? Very bitter finish with grapefruit. Short finish, flavors dies out very fast. Interesting, heavily hopped. Quite easy to drink.

Presencia turbia con espuma densa y persistente de aspecto jabonoso. Aroma herbal citrico y lupulado. Sabor picante, floral resinoso, con notas a pomelo, muy seca y retrogusto citrico.

10/I/13 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel @ home - BB: 1/X/14 (2013-9)

Very cloudy orange to beige beer. Big irregular white head, unstable, bit adhesive leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, lots of sweet ripe exotic fruits, canned lychees, sweet pineapple, citrus, bit piny. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of citrus, exotic fruit, lychee, passion fruit, mango, lemon zest, grapefruit. Aftertaste: piny bitter hops, grapefruit, almost medicinal bitterness, lots of zesty citrus, still a lot of exotic fruits. Wow, really good beer, this one!

Bottle@home. Hazy orange. One finger foam. Intense resin green grass aromas. Very bitter spicy peppery taste. Long juniper mouthfell. Another intense brew from the Danish brewbrothers. Love it.

Hazy Peach color, white foam. Aroma: Very flowery with some juniper notes in the background. Taste: Very hoppy, dry. Seabuckthorne isn’t immediately apparant, but seem to add to the sourness.Finishes with a dry after tast, slight amount of spicy juniper. Overall not a bad drink, but in my opinion, the bitterness misses some contrast / play from some sweetness. If you are a "Hop-head", then I suggest you try it out.
