Black Ball Ballistics is a potent porter, brewed with dark cassanade sugar, chokolate- amd caramel malts, aged on old sherry and cognac barrels and balanced with a nice shot of American hops.

From old notes. On tap at Mikkeller and Friends, I think. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is roasty, dark fruits, licorice, sugary, subtle bitterness, cocoa, oaky. Taste is coffee, roasty, malty, light hoppy, dark fruits, licorice, sweet barrel notes.

CBC 14. Pours black with an off-white head. Sweet with a light bitterness. Aromas of toasted malts and chocolate with hints of cask wood and caramel. Grassy hints. Medium to full bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Bitter finish.

Bottle, aged for a year. Pours Very dark brown, close to black, with a fat, fine mocha head. Seems quite carbonated. Nose has nicely roasted and toasted malts, chocolate and molasses. Not much barrel character, though. Very smooth mouthfeel, half bodied, with lots of molasses and chocolate flowing over your tongue, yet a very slight hint of sherry fruitiness and a bit of heat from the cognac. The chocolate lingers for quite a while, and slowly turns a little ashy in the mouth, meant in the nicest way possible..

Lite tunn men annars riktigt bra!

375ml bottle. Black pour. Big brown head. Aroma has lots of barrel influence with wood and red grape notes, and there’s a strong coffee bean maltiness. Taste has a dry, chalky, roasty, liquorice vibe but also some sweet fruitiness. Good stuff but not really an improvement on the original in my view.

Bottle. Tasted two years ago. Very good beer, nice oaky and cognac notes, plus all the great stuff from regular black ball.

Lovely stuff. Thick, creamy, roasty and bitter like the regular Black Ball, with a hint of wood and cognac from the barrel aging. Delicious.

Butelka 0.375L.
