BB 16/06/19. Poured an opaque black colour with a one- to two-finger tan foamy head that retained very well and laced very well. Carbonation moderate. Aroma of sweet dark chocolate, subtle roasted malt and subtle coffee. Taste of quite sweet chocolate with the roasted grain coming through as well as it being quite bitter. Medium body. Creamy, smooth with a lingering mild bitterness on the finish. Very nice to sip!

Bottle at home. WOW!! This is a BIG BEER! Pours jet black, with a rusty brown creamy head. The first thing that hit me on the nose was chocolate. On the tongue, deep dark chocolate and coffee... and even a bit of bitterness.

330ml bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Almost black with a big foamy reddish beige head. Sweet chocolate aroma. Chocolate coffee and a hint of treacle flavour. Smooth and well balanced with a sweet whiskey aftertaste. Not a bad big strong porter.

Pours like liquid tar. Massively thick and with a frothy creamy head. Thick and syrupy with a deep black appearance. Not something you could drink a lot of but feels very special ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
