Very good indeed. Black body with a light brown head that slowly collapses into moderate lacing. Dark berries hit the nose first, then liquorice and leather. Full creamy body. Tastes of chocolate, roasted malt and vanilla with an undercurrent of fruit. Milky at the end. I like this a lot.

Thick, black pour with creamy tan head. Aroma has licorice and roasted malt. Solid mouthfeel, more licorice and sweetness well balanced by strong, hoppy bitterness. Lasting, bitter finish.

33 cl bottle from Stockmann in Tallinn (€ 3,95), Sept 2014. BB 28/10/2015. Pours pitch black with a very nicely retaining and lacing dark tan head. Nose is almost a black IPA-ish mix of roasted malts and bitter, musky and citrusy hops, plus a mild sweetness of bitter chocolate and cocoa and coffee, and a faint ashy or smoky aspect... Gets more sugary as it warms. It’s insanely good! Taste begins with a dark roastiness and sweet chocolate, then a full hop armada quickly takes over, giving off piney, resinous and citrusy, fruity notes. It finishes with a mix of malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness. Body is medium, carbonation flat, texture quite slick. A truly decadent beer - I absolutely adore such stuff! I’m gonna have to go and get some more.

Bottle. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, cascadian hops, caramel. Sweet with bitter ending, roasted malt and coffee dominate the flavour with dark chocolate hints and a slightly hoppy ending. A bit smoky. Cross between a porter and a black IPA. Neat!

Bottle at home from Beer Shop St albans. £4.50 Aroma is sweet fruits, piney hops, chalky ashy clean roast. Opaque black coloured pour with a lasting dark tan head. Nose develops a bit more, with some wood and leather. Flavour is big juicy hops, pine and ashy dry roasted coffee. Very nice clean ferment and hides the alcohol pretty well. Long lingering bitter roast and piney hops. Palate is semi-full and with high slightly abrasive carbonation. Really good black IPA. (should be a black IPA at least. )
