I ta barwa!

Aromaty bardziej stoutowe, chmiele graja tu drugoplanowa role. Czekolada, kawa (gorzka i aromatyczna, espresso, espresso doppio, duzo kawy), palonosc, sliwki w czekoladzie. Troche jakichs piernikowych nutek. Z chmieli zywicznosc, grejfrut, duzo delikatniej. Smak kawowo-czekoladowy, lekko kwaskowaty (wraz z wzrostem temperatory ta kwaskowatosc z palonych slodow rosnie).

Splendida

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a generous coffee coloured head. Head reduces gradually with a lot of lacing left around the glass. Aroma is mainly of hops, pine, little bit of the roasted malt and coffee. Taste is initially of dark malts, chocolate, nice hit from the hops, more pine, little bit citrusy. Really nice long finish with the expresso dominating. Loved this a lot. Light carbonation, smooth mouthfeel, medium to heavy body.

Bottle at home. Very dark brown colour, beige cream head. Roasted malty tones like bitter chocolate and cacao, milky coffee and caramel and piny, citrus and tropical fruity hops. Also some red and dried fruits to be noted, vanilla too; especially as it warms. No boozy burn despite 10° abv. Especially the balance between flavours with the velvet soft (!) mouthfeel is impressive. Light and dry aftertaste. Medium carbonation, good body.

Black (stout) liquid with 1 inch of medium-brown head, moderate-to-fine coarseness, a bit frothy, moderate-to-slow rate of decay to patchy, appealing film that stays. Aroma is sappy pine, some black coffee, some grapefruit peel, hint of caramel (but difficult to discern under the strong flavors here.) Medium-to-medium-heavy body, gritty-oily, moderate carbonation with moderate-to-intense burn. Flavor is sap, earthy bark, evergreen, bitter fruit rind, some dark coffee (particularly on the exhale.) Big bitterness that doesn’t linger long. A touch of caramel. Overall, an excellent BIPA with a coffee presence that is understated. Perhaps a bit too bitter for me.

Chocolate, coffee and hops on the aroma, with a salty hoppy finish, very easy drinking. So well balanced.
