A deep dark IPA with a thin mocha head. In aroma, chocolate malt with floral and resinous hops, grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, nice. In mouth, loads of bitter chocolate with good coffee grind, musty character, floral and resinous hops, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at Beer for Geeks.

UPDATED: NOV 23, 2014 This is the perfect beer. An amazing representation of the style. The balance of roasted malts, pine, coffee and bitter hoppy finish. I would punch, any man or woman in the dick, that told me they didn’t like this beer. Or at least tell them they’re a silly porcupine. Legendary!

Complete black color with medium retention layer. Pine, sweet malts, roasted coffee, dark chocolate and fruits on the nose. Same character as the aroma has the flavour. Medium/ full bodied and bitter/coffee aftertaste. Incredible!

Gran cerveza, perfecto balance entre una Imperial IPA y una Stout. Aromas a caramelo y lupulos, rn paladar predomina el amargo mazclado con el cafe. No se sienten los 9,9º.

Bottle 0,33l, bought at Hoppiness in Koper (Slovenia). Dark rich liquid with tan soft foam. Full body, light carbonation. Creamy, taste of coffee, touch of grapefriut and herbs. Complex, well balanced. Great one.

Deep brown body with a light-brown, creamy head that reduces to a decent layer that laces the glass well. Perfectly balanced and very strong aroma of tropical fruits, grapefruit, lots of chocolate and other roasted elements with fainter coffee in the back. A bit surprising that the chocolate is more evident than the coffee... The strong flavour is more hop-driven than the aroma, with initial notes of tropical fruits and grapefruit and more subdued roasted notes of coffee and chocolate. In the long-lasting quite heavy bitter finish I get plenty of pine and flowers. The sweetness is light to moderate, the body is full, the texture is creamy and smooth and the carbonation is moderate to soft. A fantastic BIPA!
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 4 years before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]
