Nice light Brown head. Lasting long. Hoppy nise quite fresh. Jet back body. Thick in mouth. Complex taste of hoppy flavour and roasted malt. As usual I like what they do at To l!

Mrkt brun, p grnsen till svart l med ett stort ljusbrunt skum. Doften r klassiskt svart IPA med bde citrus och mycket rostade toner. I smaken tar det rostade ver nstan helt.

Pours a dark brown, almost black with a medium off white head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is similar with hints of vanilla and a very slight saltiness. For 9.9% it is a very easy drink and one to savour every drop. Excellent!

Copenhagen 29/5 2016. 33 cl bottle from Gunnar Madsen Vinhandel. Quite abstract label with flowery patterns reminding me of painting I would find at my Maternal Grandmothers apartment. Pours opaque black with creamy light beige head. Settles as thick creamy crown of foam with good lacing. Intense aroma. Sweet as caramel, brown sugar and vanilla. Bitter as coffee and dark chocolate. Fruity streak in this cornucopia as well. Soft carbonation and oily palate. Flavor is balanced between intense sweetness and quite pronounced bitterness. With the bitterness winning out. Quite bitter aftertaste staying with you. Quite overwhelming - in the very positive meaning of the word.

33cl bottle at home. Hazy (very) dark brown with a medium tan head. Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation. Quite bitter with subtle sweet tones. Coffee, dark chocolate, pine, spices and brown sugar. Good!

from Au Trappiste - pours a very dark brown beer under a creamy long lasting beige foam; nice lace; fairly roasted aroma of coffee, licorice, vanilla and black cherries; full-bodied, tasty and lively, solidly bitter, dry; long coffeish aftertaste with notes of ashes and licorice - great!

Very dark brown or black colour, nice beige head and lacing. Aroma is a combination of strong hoppiness - mostly mango and grapefuit, intensive coffee and some dark malts. Beer is medium-dry, a little sour from dark malts and coffee and a little salty, I feel that the salt should increase sweetness but it doesnt seem that way. Biterness is medium and it has qualities of both hops and coffee. Alcohol is present, but not too agressive, nice and complex beer.

Bottle at home. Has a black colour with a huge khaki creamy head. Roasted aroma with lots of coffee, ash, smoke, wood, dark chocolate and some grapefruit in the background. Rich taste with lots of roasted malt, coffee, ash, dark wood, very dark chocolate and grassy hops in the end. Has a slick and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and solid bitterness. A very tasteful and aromatic ale. Well roasted and quite bitter. Lot more stout than IPA in this.
