Bottle. Black with nice beige head. Aroma: coffee, roasted malts, hops, candy, a bit alcohol. Taste: roasted malts, coffee, hops, licorice a bit alcohol. Dry bitter aftertaste. I expected more hop character, but great beer anyway.

Appearence: Dense black with beige head. Aroma: Roasty, citrusy, lots of coffee and chocolate. Body: Medium/full. Flavour: Very very intense. Coffee with citrus and some herbal hints. Aftertaste: Sharp bitterness with a citrus kick. Best Black IPA in the market IMO.

Almost pitch black, strong and very lasting creamy tan head with amazing lacing skills. Aroma is of some caramel, more roasted malt and strong coffee with a fairly strong citrus and pine hoppy character. Taste is low to moderate sweet caramel, bitter chocolate to strong roasted malt and coffee in the finish with a strong pine and citrus and roasted bitter dry finish and a lasting coffee-bitter aftertaste. Alcohol well hidden. Full bodied, light carbonation and resiny.

9.9% ABV. Black coffee IPA. Nice creamy layer of light brown bubbles. Unctuous malty nose, nicely alcoholic, redolent of stewed fruit, honeyed figs and sweet dates. Sticky honey on the tongue right away. Mead-like mouthfeel. Thick and syrupy. Light carbonation. Good hoppy finish with proud bitter hops help to balance the malty gravitas. Surprisingly light experience for what is advertised as a black coffee IPA and drinks like imperial stout or strong monks ale. The hops are what gives it away since the overall palate is hop-balanced. Other flavor notes predictably evoke descriptors like toasty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, treacle, peat, tobacco. There is a fair bit of alcohol in this expertly brewed experience, but you hardly notice it given the clear hop presence appearing at just the right time to perform cleansing palate duties fastidiously.

The aroma is sweet more than anything. Pours an inky black with a cappincino ring with minimal lacing. The taste malt up front and then citrus hops kicks in thevfinish. Nice. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, a great example of a black IPA. would drink again.

Bottled at CraftRepublic. Very dark colour. Aroma isnt too strong both malty and hop notes there. Overall its very complex beer - differrent notes open to you from start to finish and continue in long aftertaste. This is version of black IPA which have some stout’s notes.
