Opaque dark brown beer with a big tan head. Palate is smooth and slightly soft. Mild fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malt with mellow coffee and a little dark chocolate. Sweetish pine with light tropical fruits. Sweet dark malt cream comes through and contrasts with the coffee becoming more bitter. Very smooth and tasty and super drinkable.

Bottle from Kitsilano Liquor, Vancouver; bb 04/12/18, batch 440
Black color with generous brownish head. The aroma of fruity, perfumy beer is perceived as soon as the cap is removed, so typical of these Danish contract brewed beers: some coffee and roasted malt. Robust but lean body, if thicker it would be an Imperial Stout; the flavor profile starts with an Imperial Stout, strong roasted malt, some coffee, a bit salty, hints of liquorice; and then a powerful hopping, very resiny, but that also offers fruity sides; moderate residual sweetness. Ends with traces of alcohol, warming.
Solid, flowery. Very good.

Bottle. It pours a dark reddish brown body under a dense tan head. There’s lots of pleasant coffee in the aroma, along with some dark chocolate. Citrusy, grape fruit notes too. The flavor has a lovely citrusy pine touch, as well as bitterness, roasted malts and coffee. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish. Pretty lovely this one. 131116
