Tons of roasted malt, prominent coffee, primarily pine for the hop profile accompanied by some citrus. Firm, but not overbearing bitterness provides an interesting counterpoint to the richness of the coffee. Really nice stuff!

Draught at Mikkeller Barcelona. Black color, beige head. Bitter taste with coffee, nuts, hops, roasted malts, vanilla, licorice and a bit of salt. Bitter finish with roasted malts, hops, nuts, vanilla, licorice and chocolate. Exquisite imperial black IPA.

Bottle. Opaque black color with light brown head. Aroma has coffee, roasted malt, tropical fruits, dark chocolate. Taste is malty sweet with long bitter and quite dry aftertaste. Flavors of roasted malt, tropical fruits, citrus, coffee, ash, dark chocolate. Complex and somehow very strange one as the tastes are so mixed but still so good and well-paired.

Zoete aanzet. Vol en halfzwaar in de mond. Afdronk licht Koffie - bitter. Zeer zacht voor een bier van 9,9 % abv. Alcohol zit zeer goed verstopt. Perfecte balans. Topbier !!

0,33l bottle at home from Firmabier. Pours black colour with moderate thick head, lasts in the glass for a while. Aroma of roasted malts, lots of dark coffee, some chocolate and caramel, bitter hops. Medium body. Pleasent coffee finish.

375 )I think), capped. I’m not sure if we’ve gotten more bottles of this in the States since last summer, but it seemed somewhat likely that this was not the freshest bottles--and it was still rad for sure. Pours an opaque matte black with a thin but creamy tan head that sticks around for a while. Big earthy dry baking chocolate nose. Not much hop character (that’s what makes it seem like this might not be the absolute newest bottle around). Coffee there, some roast, maybe some toasty black bread crusts. Lively carb and a full body; beautiful chocolatey toasty dry mid palate washing into a beautifully dry finish. Really a nice beer that I’m eager to try fresh now for sure.

Nice light Brown head. Lasting long. Hoppy nise quite fresh. Jet back body. Thick in mouth. Complex taste of hoppy flavour and roasted malt. As usual I like what they do at To Øl!

Vraiment particulier. Amertume du café avec un côté salé. Zeste de citron. Tire St Catherine salé. Plus chocolaté, mélasse et malt au nez.
