Tons of roasted malt, prominent coffee, primarily pine for the hop profile accompanied by some citrus. Firm, but not overbearing bitterness provides an interesting counterpoint to the richness of the coffee. Really nice stuff!

Huge. Bursting with hops and coffee. They really mean what they say. Complex, floral, stoutish, some alcohol, french press coffee...

Bottle, pours black with a beige head. Aroma: dark bread, citrus, pine. Taste: salty liquorice (salmiakki), caramel, grapefruit, bread, tropical fruit, coffee, liquorice root, ash. Medium sweet and moderate high bitter, creamy mouthfeel, full body, average carbonation, lasting salty roast and fruit finish. Excellent balance, lovely brew.

Bottle from Za Popents shop, Ljubljana. Pours almost black with light brown head. Intense aroma of dark malts, plenty of citrus and piney hops, fruits, coffee, earthy notes. Taste is strong, roasted malts, coffee, pine, citrus hops, grapefruit - very bitter. Light boozy. Bitter and intense BIPA, maybe a bit too much not in the best balance.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Black with small beige head. Lovely hoppy smell here... Soft coffee and cocoa, followed by soft grapefruit, lime, flowery, dark bread. Quite some fresh coffee. Medium sweet with light to medium bitterness. Medium bodied with creamy feel. Nice one.

Bottle shared. Pours dark brown with a short lived beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, roast, dark chocolate, coffee and fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. It doesn’t come across as extreme in any way but rather soft and balanced.

Bottle at home from Brewdog Online. Black / dark caramel brown coloured pour with a huge frothy mid tan head. Aroma is initially roast driven, with salted caramel, campfire, hint of smoke, earthy coffee. Later the hops develope with some burnt pine needles, little citrus. Flavour is composed of bitter black roast, earthy coffee grounds, bit of a rounding sweet caramel, burnt pine wood. Big and bold the malts are to the fore, but plenty of hops as well. Palate is medium full, chewy, tangy bitter finish, highish carbonation. Xolid.

330ml bottle at home. black color. medium big tan head. smells of pines, malty roast, some coffee, grass, light sour-fruity notes like hints of grapefruit. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, full mouthfeel. tastes pines, malty roast, grass, coffee, also the salt from the title (was not apparent on the smell, but clearly on the taste, especially towards the finish), citric / grapefruity notes. finishes with salt and bitterness from both pines and light grapefruit. wow, great beer, I really like the bitterness combined with the roast notes, there is a light warming from the alcohol, but the alcohol itself is not apparent on the taste. I am not too crazy about the salt, but fortunatly its mostly in the background and only on the finish a bit more apparent.
