Tons of roasted malt, prominent coffee, primarily pine for the hop profile accompanied by some citrus. Firm, but not overbearing bitterness provides an interesting counterpoint to the richness of the coffee. Really nice stuff!

Pours deep dark with thick brown head. Nose is Aromas are roasty malts, dark fruits, raisin, pine resin and coffee.Oily texture, low carbonation. Long bitter end piney finish. Well balanced, nice mix between roastiness and piney notes. Excellent black IPA! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black with small tan head. Malts and fresh coffee. Some dry fruits in the background. Light coffee with milk in the beginning, malts develop, dry finish, some hops. Coffee not overwhelming. Soft, creamy, full body. Complex.

Tap at Mikkeller and Friends. Almost refreshing. Big coffee aroma and taste. Aroma is roasty and bit of pine. Quite fresh. Little bit milky. Touch of spice. Very nice.

Dark brown Rich espresso stout, sweet (lactose?, chocolate?), little bit boozy. You can recognise the typical french coffee. REcommended

Pours a really dark brown with a medium tan head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of green hops, roasted malt, caramel and coffee. A light alcohol presence also but what do you expect from a 10% black IIPA? Taste is moderately sweet and bitter, offers lactose, coffee, chocolate and resinous hops. Body is quite full and carbonation low to medium. Alcohol is noticeable but not overly so. Rich and smooth. Overall a really nice black IIPA, it really deserves all the attention it is getting!

Hooooooly man this was good. Pours black with a tan thick head. Aroma of coffee and hops. Strong espresso flavor, with a nice balance of hops, finishes smooth. The 9.9% ABV is actually disguised by the strong espresso flavor really well.
