Tons of roasted malt, prominent coffee, primarily pine for the hop profile accompanied by some citrus. Firm, but not overbearing bitterness provides an interesting counterpoint to the richness of the coffee. Really nice stuff!

The aroma is full of coffee, sugar, hops, chocolate and black berries. The color is pitch black. The taste is full of coffee, citrus, cascade hops, chocolate, berries and cane sugar. A really nice beer!

How: Bottle (330 ml) at home. M. H. T. 01/12/19.

>>> A superior coffee Black IIPA with a wide variety of flavors and a smooth texture.

+ A thick creamy brown head stay forever on top of a very dark brown/almost black body and leave nice lacing
+ There’s a ton of flavors in both aroma and taste and, while the coffee and the pine takes a bit more place, there’s nothing overpowering
+ Thick fluffy mouthfeel with a lingering but not over the top coffee/pine bitterness
While it’s rather well balanced considering all that is going on in there, it’s starting to feel heavy (not cloying though) in the second half of the bottle... but it can be expected from a 10% abv massive Black IIPA

Flavors: Coffee, roasted malts, salted caramel, dark chocolate, piney hops, black liquorice, citrus

Tap at Irreale. Black, creamy brown head. breadth chocolate roast aroma, seaweed, coffee notes. Medium light body. Complex flavored: salted almonds, dark chocolate and coffee, 5-spice, light smoke. Very interesting.

Superbe.

Colore nero impenetrabile, schiuma marrone cremosa e persistente. Odore di caffè, cioccolato, tostato, resinoso, erbaceo e agrumato. Corposa, frizzantezza media-bassa, pastosa.

A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 1st December 2019 and poured into an oversized wine glass. The beer poured an opaque black colour with a really nice two finger brown head with good retention but leaves wonderful stringy lacing. It eventually settles to a creamy thin layer. Initial aromas are of bready buscuit malts and espresso coffee followed by tropical mango and pineapple fruits. Maybe even some liquorice at the end. Taste starts strong with bitter espresso coffee, slightly smoky with a hint of dark chocolate which then turns fruitier with dark berries followed by citrus grapefruit before ending with bitter coffee again. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. This was really good as it has a very balanced yet complex aromas and flavours and of course coffee flavours. The 9.9% ABV is well hidden and it just goes down really easy. It is a must buy beer in my opinion.
