UPDATED: SEP 11, 2014 Bottle from Mane Liquor. Also had on tap at Mikkeller and friends. Pours very dark brown with a small tan head leaving spotty lacing. Nose is very coffee and vanilla forward. Plenty of wood and chocolate there too with bright tropical hops. Very creamy with superb balance. Plenty of earthy notes, covered by freshly ground coffee and pine driven hops in the taste. Silky smooth vanilla everywhere without too much sweetness. Unbelievable mouth feel. World class beer. After not having enough of these beers, I think this might be one of my favourites of all time

Wybitne, wielkie piwo. W aromacie nuty alkoholowe, chmiel, zioła, potężna dawka gorzkiej czekolady i kawy, czuć ponadto spaleniznę - jakby dym unoszący się w zimie z komina wiejskiego gospodarstwa - coś przyjemnego :) . To Øl robi dobrą robotę ;) P.S. - po dłuższym ogrzaniu czuć sól :D - nazwa nieprzypadkowa ;)

The best Black IPA i’ve ever had. Aroma of citrus, coffee, pine. Also a bit of pleasant alcohol (like red wine) Taste is great balance between fruity hops and malts (coffee, dark chocolate) Oily texture. Drinkability is very high, alcohol is well hidden. Perfection.

Apperance: dark brown/black with wonderful, beige head that lasts very long and leaves beautiful lacing. Aroma: citrus, ping, cocoa, coffee and caramel. Taste: impossibly perfect mix of citrus notes coming from the hops, fruity ones from the yeast and chocolate with grains ones from the malts. Great, strong espresso and bitterness in the finish. Perfection in a small bottle. Respect for To Ol!

Near perfect black ipa. Delicious aroma. First taste has some coffee sour, then rich fruits, sweet roasted malts and it leaves your taste buds in an awesome state. Ready for the next sip. Amazing. Best black ipa i have had so far! ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

God humlebitterhed som varer ved i eftersmagen. En vis friskhed i eftersmagen. Virkelig god fylde, meget harmonisk.

Pours an opaque black, with a mocha head. Smells of chocolate, freshly ground coffee and piney hop aromas. Taste is coffee, bitter dark chocolate and a tang of chili and salt. This beer is quite viscous, its like drinking a strong coffee and dark chocolate milkshake.
