75cl bottle. Large rocky tan head that leaves lovely lacing atop black body with brown edge. Aroma is moderately sweet, roast, grapefruit, some nut, chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, roast, milk chocolate, some grapefruit, chocolate frosting, light alcohol. Medium-full body, some resin, light effervescence.

Dense opaque black, decent light tan laceless head. Riffing creamy roast, delicate citrus zest nose. Light tarry liquorice as it opens without being too hoppy. Creamy carbonated squeaky sandwich mouthfeel, clinical. Finishes rich, squeaky bitterness. Bottle.

Bottle @home. Two finger beige foam. Smokey roasted toasted wooden grassy nose. Burned dry roasted malty taste. Quite long lingering bitter finish. Complex. Memories of black ball.

Bottle. Black pour with a big creamy head that fades slowly to a thick ring and a thin film. Aromas are dark roasted coffee, chocolate, pine, ash, and tobacco. Taste is so intense. Bitter roasted coffee grounds, pine, ash, licorice, cocoa, tobacco, light smoke, and a touch of lactose sweetness. Medium to fully body. Coats the palate with a thick oiliness and intense roasty ash. Very cool and intense black ipa.

330 mml bottle tasted on 19/09/2014. Drak brown (almost black) colour with a perfect creamy white head. Some bubbles on the appearance. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and hops. Taste is dry and bitter with the presence of malts, hops, black chocolate and presence of alcohol. Very well balanced beer. Medium to full body with high but balanced alcohol. Next one please!

330ml bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Almost black, big beige head. Spicy treacle coffee malt aroma. Chocolate coffee flavour. Bitter atertaste. Bit of a mish mash this one - Imperial Stout, Porter and black IPA all in one.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Tulip. Dark brown colour bordering black with a big, fluffy lightly tanned head. Roasted aroma with dark chocolate, liquorice, peach, citrus, pines and coffee. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Long lasting finish with roasted malts and a lingering bitterness. Great B-IPA.
