Draught at The Taphouse, Sydney. Matt black pour with fluffy beige head that leaves rings on the glass with each mouthful - a "Brussels lace". Aroma has notes of milk chocolate, brown sugar, coffeebeans, roasted malts and pine needles. Palate is deliciously milky smooth and creamy with a sticky texture but it is not too sweet on the tongue and not overly rich and filling. Finishes with a nice dryness. Medium bodied with perfect carbonation. Highly recommended.

humlelala (691) - DENMARK - MAY 19, 2013
(33 cl bottle from Barley Wine; BBD: 08/01/18) Pours black with medium, tan head that fades slightly leaving lace. Good regeneration. Aroma is herbal hoppy remniscient of a black IPA except there seems to be also notes of roasted malt and chalk in there. Creamy texture, medium to full body, medium carbonation and a short bitter finish. Flavour is quite bitter predominantly from hops. Girlfriend says "I find it’s a good combination with the hops."
