COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Sample during the "Deschutes Brewery at Bob’s Bar" event on 05/16/2016. Slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with a resiny hops character and notes of citrus and caramel malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle at home. The colour is unclear dark orange with a big creamy light beige head. Aroma of pine, grass, grapefruit and hints of alcohol. Rich flavour of pine, grassy hops, caramel sweetness, alcohol and orange candy. Has a soft and slick mouth feel, full-bodied, and heavy bitterness. A bit careful aroma for the beer style. Tasteful and complex during the experience. A little unbalanced though.

Poured out there is loads of honey on the nose and sweet tangerine. Taste is big orange, boozy but fresh too. Floral at the back of the mouth. Rich and slightly sweet with restraint marmalade bitterness. Clean finish. Really nice but not unforgettable.

Mooie oranje kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt fruitig, orange, citrus, honing. Smaakt zoetig, fruitig, citrus, grapefruit. Goed bitter. Tikkeltje alcohol. Bitterzoete droge afdronk.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orangish color. Aroma and taste are large citrus and pine with a solid malt balance.

Catchup rate from BD AGM2016. Hazy gold amber, big off white head. Hop hop hop. Tropical fruit and pine. Dry finish. Good stuff.

Pours a very murky golden with a tall off-white, rich, well-retaining head. Bits of vegetable matter suspended throughout the beer. Malty nose. Overly malty flavor. Bitterness follows the rich maltiness, but no hop vibrancy at all. Very disappointing given the style and its score. May be old. No way to tell. No date on the bottle. I overpaid for it at Island Liquors at Pensacola Beach.

Very very good Imp IPA : it is strong, but not too alcoholic feel. Acid but not too much (I would say single IPA, maybe 75/90, I don’t think more). Strong fruity aroma and flavor : and a strong note of pineapple. It smells like note of comté cheese too. Medium head. Medium effervescence. Long lasting thong as every good IPA

Tap in KIK Warsaw. Quite a disappointment for me. It’s obviously well made and so on but doesn’t have this wow effect. Fruity, pleasant in aroma. Fruity, well balanced in taste, with rather tiny bitterness, having on mind it’s an Imperial IPA. Crisp, dry - this one is true. But it’s not a fruity and bitterness bomb which I was expecting. Nice mouthfeel. It is weirdly TO drinkable. Solid, but not mind blowing in any way, and that is what I was expecting from it.
