The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bottle at the 7th Tasting in Belgrade-Serbia with Vlada, Matt, Marko (budalo). Pours deep yellow, cloudy with a white foam which leaves draft on the glass. Nose: orange juice, tropical, papaya. Mouth: lively carbonated, tick body, oily, fruity, just lovely execution of the style.

330ml bottle, pours cloudy gold with a foamy white head. Big citrus hop notes, Seville orange, lemon, zesty tangy fruits over light biscuity and caramel malts. Light sweetness from the malts but this is balanced nicely with the hops to impart a dry bitter finish which hides the abv well. Body is medium, light oily texture with fine carbonation. There is a bit too much yeast in the bottom which makes it appear less refined than some beers but other than that this is a top notch dipa.

Bottle at home, thanks to James, 03/04/15. Hazed golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is pine, grapefruit, orange pith, tangerine, passionfruit. Taste comprises pine needle, mango, light booze, bitter tropicana, straw, sweet malt notes, candied fruit peel. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with hop bitterness. Decent DIPA.

Kellemes illat, testes íz jellemzi, a háttérből kibontakozó picit karamellás jelleggel. Kiegyensúlyozott ital, de erős is. Simán "hülyére" ihatod magad! ;-)

Hazy copper orange with some floaties. Fruity hop aroma - citrus, mango, pineapple. Sweet, but light malt character, lots of hops, still pretty bright and easy drinking. Alcohol totally hidden.

Bottle at home, from Biervana, Munich, 29th March 15. Sweet mother of god, this is good. Pours a murky, cloudy orange. Aroma is pine resin, some citrus, lemon sherbet. Taste is resinous pine, grapefruit, bitter marmalade, great malt balance, bittersweet perfection. Great DIPA

Sehr trübe orangegelbe Farbe, schöne weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig, grasig, tropische Früchte. Geschmack kräftig malzig, sehr fruchig, tropische Früchte, gering bitter, lecker!

Flaska @ NK Ölbaren. Gyllengyl vätska med högt och massivt skum. Doftar tydligt av mango och passionsfrukt. Vattnig smak. Vilken besvikelse. Smaken faller pladask. Fadd eftersmak med inslag av härsket smör.

Bottle from Brewdog online. Cloudy orange with big white lacy head. Big citrus orange grapefruit hoppy, piney aroma, some backbone caramel and malt. Same elements reflected in the taste, nicely balanced flavours, nice sweetness, nice bitterness, medium bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Alcohol only noticeable in some late warmth. Very good.
