COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To l hop adventure is now a reality we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2015 Pours hazy golden orange with a thick white lacing head. Aromas of pineapple & citrus. Tastes malt, powerful tropical fruits, pine, lingering bitterness and not as much alcohol as the ABV would suggest. Thick and oily. Really great Imperial IPA.

Light orange/straw coloured. Cloudy but bright, thick sudsy white head and lacing. Smell is lots of peach, banana, tangerine, orange creamsicle, musty hop, hay/plastic. Tastes of very bitter resinous hop, hay, lightly spiced malt. Body is crisp but creamy, fine carbonation. Great aroma and body but taste is a bit more boring.

Bottle from Hop Leaf at home. Hazy translucent musty orange straw yellow pour. Aroma is mango and pineapple hops with some plasticky notes. A bit resiny too. Taste is big hops - pine and some citrus and tropical fruit. Bitter finish, some lasting booziness. Normal - slightly thicker than usual - palate. Solid DIPA but not great.

33cl. Bottle. Im guessing older bottle.
Pours hazy yellow with white head.
Aroma honey, caramel, malts, biscuit, pine, resin, little tropical fruits, some citrus fruits. It smells good but almost like the hops gone.
Taste caramel honey sweets, piney resin bitter. Taste is good bitters the hop is still here :).
Mouthfeel thick, oily, bit dry.
Great beer!

Grande birra, buonissima. Aroma bellissimo dove sento aghi di pino, resina, melone, pompelmi, fiori. Bionda opale sente, schiuma bianca fine compatta.

330 ml bottle from Ammersin 5, Vienna.
Amber, cloudy body, with a big, creamy, white head, that leaves a thick lacing.
Aroma is juicy, with citrus, orange, tropical fruits, some grass, honey, candy, some biscuit.
Taste follows this pretty much.
Full, creamy mouthfeel, with a quite lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, zesty and grassy.

Very good! Thick, juicy and therefore pretty filling - actually a bit too filling for my taste. Nonetheless a really nice, well balanced and quite unique DIPA.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Murky gold. Messy film of sticky, white head. Big, fruity, juicy, oily, pineapple hop. Lots of thick, sweet, grainy malt. Peachy. Some orange rind. Big, inviting, and juicy. Taste is sweet, then juicy, pulpy, zesty bitter. Feels nowhere near the ABV. A bit oily. Finishes chewy sweet, turning juicy, clingy bitter. A bit unrefined. And all the better for it.

Full of fresh hops, but the malt gives a decent sweetness to balance this. Very tasty.

McWorta (1339) - LUXEMBOURG - DEC 30, 2014
Solid yellow-orange bit hazy colour with a medium-large frothy off white head very good lacings. Tropical fruit, pineapple, lime and citron peel with herbal hints and light spruce notes. Finely carbonated with a bit slick texture. Medium bodied with subtle tropical fruit up front developing a well balanced hoppiness drying out, yet all kept in check by a well kept malt structure. The finish is light biscuity, herbal-fruity and dry lasting well on the palate.

Buscuit, grapefruit with a touch of bread and phenols. Sweet malty backbone with good bitterness.
