COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Lovely aromas of little malt and exotic fruit. Malt is then some light caramel and little biscuits. Only after a few seconds tastes hops through and helps with fine taste of pineapple and passion fruit. Very delicate Imperial IPA with great fullness. The finish is semi-dry to dry.

9.3%ABV. Imperial IPA. Tapped out an beautiful amber. 16ºSRM. Nose is full of funky wheaty milky aromas. It’s like walking into a cheese closet. On deeper inspection there are malty, slightly sweet notes. Mouthfeel is carbonated. There is no lightness at all as the palate is assaulted by the richly malty, maple syrup-like palate of roasted malt. Very nice and very reassuring to know that the fine folks at ToØl can do sophisticated as well. This is like tuxedo and shorts. I don’t know, does that make sense at all? The palate features a good quantity of biscuit, caramel and nutty flavors. Because of the richness you might even imagine some toffee or butterscotch. The alcohol in this one was a good call to help lift all that sweet heft giving it a very very sneakily sophisticated boost. Finish is medium and bitter. Like I said, overall the experience was like putting on tails and shorts. Very cool. Goes on Favorites List!

Cloudy orange appearance with a small layer of head. Complex tastes of hops, toast, coffee, spruce and some chocolate and a small hint of alcohol. Quite full bodied, really smooth and great carbonation, and a lasting aftertaste of hops, some orange peel and spruce. One of the greats

Draft @ Arena’s in Milford, DE. Poured golden, hazy, with a small white head and nic lacing. Aroma is hoppy, some citrus fruit and lots of malts and caramel notes. Quite milder than your usual American DIPA, but at the same time very well balanced, interesting combination of malts and hops. Very good beer.
