COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2015 Pours amber-brown colour with yellow mousse-like firm head. Medium fast rising bubbles. Aroma without presence of alcohol. Malts are also in second plan, namely hops dominate: centennial give aroma of tropical fruits, especially of mango. Hop bitterness is high. Similar is with flavour, but sweetness of malts and hop bitterness is perfect balanced. Taste is firstly sweet, but than you immidiately detect high bitterness of hops, with long lasting finish. Texture is silky and smooth, body is soft, malt sweetness is medium to high, hop bitterness is high. Another perfect brew from Proef.

Bottle at home. Pours Golden/Amber with a big dense off-white head. Aroma of Citrus, tropical fruits, Malts, honeydew. Taste is hops, citrus, bitter, malts, alcohol sweetness, good base of malts. Decent IIpa, but then again erverything is better with citra.

33cl bottle served in a Struise glass. Cloudy amber colour with a massive white head. Powerful aroma of abundant resinous hops. Taste is exactly as promised by the aroma - grassy, resinous hops dominate. Little malt presence which is how I like my IIPAs. Quite a severe bitterness which considering I had just finished a Hardcore IPA is a testament to its strength (I would be interested to know the IBU rating of this one).

Draft pour. The beer is a hazy gold with a white head of foam. The aroma has big floral and citrus hops. Some caramel sweetness. Lemon zest. Tastes mildly bitter. Pretty refreshing.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2016 Medium gold pour, a little cloudy, nice off white head. Stone fruit, grapefruit - big fruity aromas, light malt. Taste is jammy orangey malty goodness, quite bitter, sweetish, long very bitter finish. Like it a lot - for 9.3% it is very, very drinkable

Bottle to IPA glass Bread, grapefruit, overripe apple, tropical fruit, and light spruce. Pours a hazy amber with a 5 cm and growing off white head due to boisterous effervescence. The cashier in the store I bought it from knocked it over, but that was 6 hours ago. Taste is fruity and sweet with a strong bitterness that lasts.
