The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bright yellow gold effervescent pour. Large off white head, nice citrus juicy hop aroma and flavor. Abv is hidden well, long bitter finish, big oily mouthfeel. Overall a fantastic interpretation of the style.

Bottle at home. Pours Golden/Amber with a big dense off-white head. Aroma of Citrus, tropical fruits, Malts, honeydew. Taste is hops, citrus, bitter, malts, alcohol sweetness, good base of malts. Decent IIpa, but then again erverything is better with citra.

I expected even closer to stupid! X) Now I can say only that this is solid and enjoyable brew, but.. Interesting passion fruit nose, intense fruitiness, citrus.. Would like to taste more intense maltiness, light caramel. Moderate sweetness with quite intense dull bitterness. Feels bit unbalanced and too thin for this marketing :P

Solid yellow-orange bit hazy colour with a medium-large frothy off white head very good lacings. Tropical fruit, pineapple, lime and citron peel with herbal hints and light spruce notes. Finely carbonated with a bit slick texture. Medium bodied with subtle tropical fruit up front developing a well balanced hoppiness drying out, yet all kept in check by a well kept malt structure. The finish is light biscuity, herbal-fruity and dry lasting well on the palate.

Bottle. Amber in colour, white solid head. Great aroma of flowers, citrus fruits, mango. In taste medium sweet from malts, very hoppy with big bitterness to balance it all. Great DIPA from To Ol.

Draft @ Arena’s in Milford, DE. Poured golden, hazy, with a small white head and nic lacing. Aroma is hoppy, some citrus fruit and lots of malts and caramel notes. Quite milder than your usual American DIPA, but at the same time very well balanced, interesting combination of malts and hops. Very good beer.

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a light hazy orange with a lovely off white head that hold well. Holy crap this smells amazing! Nose is full of citrus fruit, freshly juiced oranges, grapefruit and some pine. Smells delicious. Taste is in your face fruity hops. Orange, lemon and mango up front with a light pine note backed up by the slight bitterness. Goes down incredibly easy for 9.3%. Sensational beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy gold tinged with orange, big foamy white head, nice lacing. Big nose - aroma of pine, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, toffee and resin. Mental level of bitterness in the flavour, its straight in your face. Mellows out to some of the fruit and toffee from the aroma. Thick, slick mouthfeel, big bodied. Medium fizzy carbonation sets it off well. Finish is balanced between huge, slighty astringent grapefruit hop bitterness and fruity, caramel malt. No sign of the ABV at all. Possibly the hoppiest beer Ive ever had, probably on account of it being way fresher than the US ones I can source. Which is good, because I love hops and I love sweetness in an IPA. Brilliant.
