COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To Řl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

PapaVillum (607) - Valby, DENMARK - AUG 15, 2014
330 ml, flaske, 9,3 % ABV, købt i Mikkeller & Friends' Bottleshop, 15. august 2014. Ufiltreret orange/honning-farvet Imperial IPA med stor offwhite skumtop, 7 cm. 1' indtryk: Sød-/syrlig aroma af citrus, honning, græs. Holy smoke, this is gut! CO2 under medium niveau. If this is "Dangerously Close To Stupid", I don't mind being regarded as retarded! Pure enjoyment!

Kauge (603) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 21, 2014
Bottle from Őllepood nr 1 Gambrinus in Tartu (€ 4,80), August 2014. Cool design, although the Comic Sansish font on the rear does raise some eyebrows (I mean at least two of mine). Colour is a pale yet murky orange. Head is off-white and... massive! It drops slowly and leaves a considerable lacing. Nose is extremely piney and resinous, giving off great early autumny warmth, plus some dried apricots. More maltiness appears as it warms. Taste is pine resin, ripe tropical fruits (juicy) and malts. The extreme bitterness is well balanced by the sweetish, biscuity malts. I don’t get much citrusy aspects anywhere here. The 9,3% ABV in here is well hidden, only hinting at its own existence in the looong, soothing, bitter and warming finish... and... well, actually the last 1/3 is rather alcoholic to be honest - but in an enjoyable way. Full body, velvety smooth mouthfeel and a sticky palate; carbonation is low. I love such stuff. And so do the many fruit flies I see hovering above my glass... Overall a very good DIPA (though I do enjoy many of the other widely available ones more) best enjoyed in the beginning of a Nordic autumn when some leaves have already fallen and become the same colour as this beverage. Oh I so will one day enjoy this on a bench in Kadriorg park, surrounded by yellow maple leaves!

Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy honey colour with an attractive misty white head. Aroma is floral and citrus, with orange zest and lemon. Taste is very well balanced sweet and bitter, but not too much of either. Nice alcohol hum, and subtle carbonation with a medium body. Very good and goes down very easy.

Pours hazy yellow with a dense white head. Nice fruity, citrus, sweet malty aroma, all well balanced. Really nice flavor, full body, creamy mouthfeel with a moderate to heavy bitterness and malty sweetness, also notes of citrus hops, fruity, grapefruit. Really nice

Unde (541) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 28, 2013
Orange beer with nice fluffy head which leaves beautiful lacing behind. Citrus, grape and sweet tropical fruits in the aroma. Lots of citrus fruits in taste, some tropic fruits but only for a short moment. Some peppery spiciness at the end. Stupid amount of hops isn’t clearly an understatement. But enjoyable hop bomb.

Orange coloured, beautifully hazy and creamy white head. Tropical fruity nose, some citrus. Taste is nicely malted, sweet, soft and creamy mouthfeel along with the dry-hopped fruity and (not too) bitter punch. Low-medium carbonation, sticky mouthfeel, full body.
