The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bottle at home, from Biervana, Munich, 29th March 15. Sweet mother of god, this is good. Pours a murky, cloudy orange. Aroma is pine resin, some citrus, lemon sherbet. Taste is resinous pine, grapefruit, bitter marmalade, great malt balance, bittersweet perfection. Great DIPA

Bottle. Hazy deep golden color with a huge frothy white head. Strong aroma of fruity hops, pine and spruce. Slightly sweet, very bitter taste. Bitter finish. Slightly sticky feel.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours cloudy golden with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is peach, grapefruit, and caramel. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a slightly bitter finish.

Tap in KIK Warsaw. Quite a disappointment for me. It’s obviously well made and so on but doesn’t have this wow effect. Fruity, pleasant in aroma. Fruity, well balanced in taste, with rather tiny bitterness, having on mind it’s an Imperial IPA. Crisp, dry - this one is true. But it’s not a fruity and bitterness bomb which I was expecting. Nice mouthfeel. It is weirdly TO drinkable. Solid, but not mind blowing in any way, and that is what I was expecting from it.

Bottle bought at Hopduvel. Citrus, mango, exotic fruits, quite alcoholic and sweet malts, not too bitter. Very nice.

Bottle at 2112. Hazy copper orange with white head. Fruity hop aroma - citrus, mango, pineapple. Sweet, but light malt character with lots of tropical hops. Quite easy to drink and well hidden alcohol.

Kita (1917) - Koper, SLOVENIA - JUN 10, 2016
Bottle, 0.33l. Pours murky clay like color with rocky white head, great lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, passion fruit, mango, yeast, herbs and pine. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and resin, follows by refreshing yeast. citrus and passion fruit, mouthfeel is astringent, while finish is heavy herbal bitter. Full body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Unbelievable yeast and tropical fruits’ concetraction at the end of bottle...

Tap at Mikkeller BKK sometime beginning of Feb. This is exactly as it’s named. A big and bold DIPA that’s perfect is just about every way. I’m a sucker for these. Please, pour this down my gullet every day!
