COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

Bottle, bought @ Kihoskh, Cph. Pours hazy yellow with a large, creamy white head. Aroma has resin, grapefruit, peach, floral, light caramel. Medium carbonation, great creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour has sweet malts and sweet resiny notes at first. Then turns to apricot, grapefruit, peach. Lingering vinious and bitter finish.

Bottle from Thistle News, Aberdeen. It pours hazy golden with a thick white head. The nose is tangerine, orange, tinned fruit, straw, mild sulphur, farmyard and marmalade. The taste is pine, resin, orange, tangerine, sherbet, assertive bitterness, warming alcohol and marmalade with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty tasty stuff!

Sample during the "Deschutes Brewery at Bob’s Bar" event on 05/16/2016. Slightly hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with a resiny hops character and notes of citrus and caramel malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a piney hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Many thanks to Finn for a 330ml bottle of this one. Medium sized off-white head with solid stand, lots of dimples, blanketing the glass. Hazy orange coloured body. Aroma of almond, passion fruits and apricot. Mixed taste profile of orange, apricot and herbal hops backed by moderately malty sweetness. Warming, hopped dried fruity finish. Full bodied. Integrated alcohol. Tasty slow sipper (Tromsø 26.03.2016).

With a year and a half to go on good till, it is a decent tasting strong ale. Not a great DIPA by North American standards.
