COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

330 ml bottle.
Pours a hazy yellow colour with a white foamy head. Aroma of floral hops, pine and caramel. Flavour is rather sweet with floral hops, caramel, hay and some alcohol. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a warming, floral, sweet finish. A DIPA on the sweet side, but no too much.

On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours murky orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruity hops, mango, peach and tangerine. Taste is fresh, crisp fruity hops, very well balanced, tasty and with that moreish taste, a winner, did i say well hidden alcohol?

Light honey pour with a solid eggshell head. Grapefruit, evergreen, orange peel, and lemon zest. A bit of peppery spice as well. Alcohol was invisible. Not a bad IPA!

From tap at mikkeller bar. Looks unfiltered amber, with a small head. Kinda dry, sweet, grape, orange taste with a hint of grass. With a thick aftertaste, where the bitterness kicks in. A very mild IIPA. I like it, but it could have been better if it got a bit more hopped aroma.

(Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 13 July 2013) Hazy golden amber colour with brief, foamy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with orange, mandarin, passion fruit and lychee. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, apricots, passion fruit, resin and a solid resinous bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with balanced sweetness. Impressive hop presence, backed up with plenty of malt. Very nice.

On tap @ Henrik. A really cloudy deep orange pour on this one and it has a small just off-white really lacing top. Smells quite nice with apricots, something slightly acidic, fruity, grapefruit and lots of grassy hops. It’s a bit more on the near soapy perfume path in the taste. Lots of piney hops, some birch and peaches. Almost snowy in a strange way. Bitter lingering aftertaste. Really good, will be having this again. 05.07.2013

Citrus hops and a hint of tropical fruit. Pours a cloudy orange color. Has some decent bitterness but definitely not close to stupid. More of an earthy bitterness with just a bit of sweetness up front. Medium bodied with small white head. Pretty good but not stupid by any means.
