The next beer in the To Øl hop adventure is now a reality – we present to you Dangerously Close To Stupid. An Imperial IPA at 9,3 % ABV with a close to stupid amount of Citra and Centennial Hops in it. It is a bright crisp and super dry-hopped IIPA with a smooth and balanced body. To make a tight transition between the hop profile and the body we have removed all caramel malts and focused only on basis malts. This is resulting in a nice fresh Spring/Summer IIPA that has a Dangerously Close To Stupid drinkability. We have for a long time been wanting to do a pendant to the Final Frontier Double IPA, that has this rich caramel body and we think we nailed it Dangerously Close to Perfect with this one

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2016 Cloudy orange color, average sized tan head. Lots of lacing. Very fruity aroma: mango, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, oranges. Full body, lively carbonation. Medium sweet, medium bitter taste. Nice hoppy character. Long bitter finish. Taste remains on the lips one hour after. Texture is kinda sticky. Alcohol is not noticeable. Insanely good.

10/IX/14 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ wedding anniversary tasting on a MF boat tour with captain Erwin - BB: 11/III/16 (2014-984)

Very cloudy light orange beer, creamy yellowish irregular head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: citrus, very fruity, mango, passion fruit, bit sweet, sugary impression. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: sweet malty start, bit sugary, yeast touch, citrus, little soapy, fruity and fresh hops, exotic fruits, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: fruity, some hops, yeast, citrus, pineapple, little piny, soapy touch. Very nice one!

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique August 2013. You would have to be stupid not to like this beer. Hops dominate and leave a film in the mouth. A beer to be treated with respect.

I actually dreamed about this beer. It is simply superb and should be bought whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Bottle from Brewdog online. Cloudy orange with big white lacy head. Big citrus orange grapefruit hoppy, piney aroma, some backbone caramel and malt. Same elements reflected in the taste, nicely balanced flavours, nice sweetness, nice bitterness, medium bodied, smooth, soft carbonation. Alcohol only noticeable in some late warmth. Very good.

Ottima IIPA, agrumata, caramellata e dolciastra al naso, con un favoloso carico di luppoli che ti aspetta al varco! Resinosa e rotonda, corposa, favolosa.

Very very good Imp IPA : it is strong, but not too alcoholic feel. Acid but not too much (I would say single IPA, maybe 75/90, I don’t think more). Strong fruity aroma and flavor : and a strong note of pineapple. It smells like note of comté cheese too. Medium head. Medium effervescence. Long lasting thong as every good IPA

27-APR-2013, bottle @home, from Ølbutikken. Hazy orange with huge lasting, creamy, and also a little rough, white head. Very hoppy, grassy and piney aroma. Extremely bitter taste with grape fruit, pine and kerosen. Fruity with orangew and dried fruit. Very fresh with a ton of different hop notes - clearly dry hopped. Sweet malts - actually quite sweet. Full body, soft carbonation. Fantastic drink.

330ml bottle from Bradley’s. Pours a cloudy golden with a lovely lingering pillowy white head. It looks incredible. Aroma is one of the nicest I have ever smelled - lots of floral and fruity citrus, pine, strawberry, caramel, and a light touch of vanilla. Very finely balanced taste between the powerful and interesting dry hoppy bitterness and a lovely delicate caramel sweetness. Lively, dry and bittersweet finish. This beer is incredible. I would drink this again and again if I could get my hands on it. Comfortably the best IPA I’ve ever had.
