The final frontier pours in low hazy pale body with high creamy head. Aroma has grapefruit notes, pineapple, orange, light citrus. Taste is very bitter upfront, long lasting bitterness indeed, with some fruity sweetness as support. Even little bit astringent in the after taste. Body is full with medium to high carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark golden appearance with a firm 1 inch head with huge lacing going down the glass as it empties. Aroma is dominant of pine mixed with some grapes along with quite some resin and spruce. On the tongue the hops hit immediately with huge bitterness and resins. Some slight sweet tones under the bitterness but not much. Overall a very rounded and solid double IPA from these crazy danes!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33 CL bottle from Bieropholie, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Almost clear deep amber with a thin white head.
Aroma: Rich, crunchy caramel/toffee maltiness combined with pungent resinous/pine hops, lots of grapefruit peel, brown/burnt sugar, somewhat peppery and spicy, some alcohol, a bit mashy/brothy, very big.
Palate: Medium-full body, slick, fine, somewhat relaxed effervescence.
Flav.: Lots of big malts like the nose, a bit less of the hop character, still quite big, spicy and peppery, plenty of resin/pine, grapefruit; sweet with pretty good bitterness and a long, mouth-coating finish of burnt sugar and pine/resin, mainly.
Might not be tonight’s final frontier. We’ll see...
