11.2oz bottle in a tulip. Pours ruby with a fluffy, beige head. Aroma of citrusy hops and a lot of caramel malts. Flavor the same, with a lot of hops. Smooth texture. A good beer, but there are better of this style.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy copper orange color, frothy head. Aroma is fragrant citrus, orange, grapefruit, apricot, a touch of pine. Taste is mostly resin bitter but a caramel malt and mild toast continually peak through. Unfortunately a bit of yeast mars an otherwise very tasty beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy dark amber colour. Distinct aroma of hops with some grass and citrus. Taste of much hops, some caramell in background with a crispy/fresh taste in foreground. Some hints of vanilla. (Maybe some grape fruit and elder flower)

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A bit malt-forward for a strong IPA. I’m not sure what I would call it if I tasted it blind. Notes of plum and toffee are very present. However, however... The note of rubbing alcohol kinda ruins it. It’s abrasive. Yeah, it’s the final frontier alright. So much good with so much wrong -- yech. I’m 50/50 with it.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL. Pours a cloudy orange colored body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is fairly sweet and fruity with a good amount of tropical fruits, some orange-citrus pine resins, a few florals, a sweeter caramel malt backing, and a bit of a toasty bread. I like this aroma. Flavor is fruity with some orange hops and a few tropical fruits with a bit of a sticky caramel sweetness. Pines, some florals, and a bit of a bready maltiness. Finishes dry with a medium-high bitterness, a few resins, and a touch of toffee. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium-full body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid DIPA. Nothing overly complex, but well hopped with a nice sweetness that never gets cloying. Good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour orange/amber with a small head.
Nose shows pine, grapefruit, banana and apple, but remains restrained. A fair bit of sweet malt is present underneath.
Flavours are centred on the malt rather than the hops, despite the reasonable amount of piny and resinous notes. Ultimately it’s all about the caramel and very sweet, clean malt.
Body feels to thick and syrupy.

Slow beer ontap (9-Sep-12) big sweet rounded fruit and floral hop malt aroma. Cloudy amber colour suds lacing. Luscious fruit malt flavour, lovely sweet spice malt finish and medium bitter hop fruit aftertaste.

Picked up this bottle based totally on label and glad I did. Pours orange with nice rich nose of pine and caramel. The palate is slight sticky. Tastes of pine, caramel, grass, malt, figs, and some rye whiskey. Very tasty way to finish my fantasy football draft
