English: The sequel to To Øls Hop devil "First Frontier" is here and the name is Final Frontier. It is a hoppy DIPA with a little more of everything compared to its predecessor. We recommend taking this baby into the wild!

Ingredients: Water, Malt, Flaked Oat, Hooooooopppppppsssssss (Simcoe, Centennial, Columbus) and yeast.

Orange golden liquid, with a white small head. Grass and citrus in the nose. Kinda watery mouthfeel. Pretty toned down taste aswell, considering it’s abv. Still, it’s a pretty refreshing beer, with floral and citrusy notes. Enjoyable!

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe, drunk today. Clear, dark amber. Pours fairly thick cream head, with moderate sized bubbles, which persists well as good covering. High carb. Aroma - Bit weak. Sweetish, spicy citrus. Taste - Spicy & aromatic. Much less bitter than First Frontier & maltier too; more rounded & some more creamy, darker caramel malt. Complex sweet and spicy citrus (orange & spice), bit of oily, dark woodiness & a bit floral / nectar. All the flavours are subtle though, which makes it taste kind of unusual: Initially tastes a bit sweet and kind of bland, but then the subtle spicy hop flavours come out & mix with the dark caramel malt, with very little bitterness; strange. Just a brief light bitter twang of zest near the end. Sweet orangey citrus finish. Not much of a lingering aftertaste, other than a bit of perfume. Mid-heavy body, oily. Quite an odd tasting IPA; sweet, spicy, subtle, but not overly impressive: Not enough flavour for this strength really.

11.2oz bottle I got from The Party Source. Clear orange-red color. Very big, pillowy off-white head. Plenty lace. Moderately piney, hoppy nose. Softer carbonation, pretty smooth. Drier texture. Piney, citrus hops. Bigger caramel, toasty malts. More sweet, lighter bitter taste. Lite bite from the alcohol noticeable, but nothing bothersome. Kind of malt-forward, but still fine DIPA. Has a kind of nice toasty caramel malt characteristic to it. Like most Shelton Bros DIPAs I’ve had, greatly suspect to being less than fresh, and probably would be much better if it weren’t. a shame considering the price of these things

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2014 first sampled @Melna Ziema, ALEhouse, Riga, Latvia, 26th January 2013. update: bottled version 03.2014.
Bottled version was intense, fruity-citrus-pine on nose with gentle malt sweetness in background. Pours pale coppery or dark amber-reddish with white, huge soapy top, medum lasing. Medium+ body, sirupy texture, mild dry finish. Flavor was pleasant sweetish malty-hoppy bitter, but more to hops direction. Mild and pleasant IPA/DIPA.

Kaatuu lasiin oransiinruskeana ja sameana, vaahdon ollessa keskikokoinen ja mätäsmäinen. Hajussa on trooppista hedelmää (mango, passion, päärynä), pihkaa, havua, puuta ja lievää mausteisuutta. Maku on havua, leipäistä mallasta, sitrusta, puuta ja hieman ruohoa. Suutuntuma on täyteläisen katkera, melkein jopa liian katkera. Kokonaisuutena tämä on upean hajuinen, mutta hieman särmättömän makuinen DIPA. Humala peittää paljon makuja alleen, mikä ei toisaalta ole mikään ihme, kun IBUja varmasti riittää.

Bottle. Cloudy orangy amber with a nice creamy off white head that fades to a nice layer. Smells delicious - some great resin, grapefruit but on the white inside stuff, fair amount of sugar that reminds me more of an aged barleywine then a fresh DIPA (and this isn’t exactly fresh either but I don’t mind). Full body, mild carbonation, initial bit of sweetness that then turns over to a slightly unbalanced bitterness with more citrus. Becomes very dry with a nice malt and hop bitterness all over the palate. Really liked this one.
