English: The thing about First Frontier is the hops. Easy… This is an IPA “the American way”, no sticky-sweet malt profile, just the real deal potent and aromatic hops. The result is a refreshingly dry, fresh and bitter IPA, heavily dryhopped with the three American hop varieties warrior, simcoe and centennial, dealing a punch of citrus, peach and grapefruit from the deepest of our hearts directly to ya face. Just added a bit of caramel malt; merely to harness and balance the alcohol. ”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”

”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”
Ingredienser: Vand, Malt, Havre, Humle (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), gær.

Bottiglia 33cl, comprata da Giangaspero e bevuta a casa. Chiara cob bella schiuma persistente. Ben amarica e al tempo stesso beverina, piuttosto secca.

Bottle at The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Hazy pale gold thick lasting white head. Hops on aroma. Some almost lager malt puke in the mouth. Big sherberty hop finish. Good carbonation dry long finish. Settles down into a sherbert hoppy ipa. Good though.

Bottle to IPA glass Aroma of grapefruit, mango, yeast, lemon soap, and spruce. This pours a light yellowish amber, but it has some small sand grain sized black particulates in it which act as a nucleation point for some voluminous effervescence. The result is a HUGE head which starts out nearly creamy, but ends up being frothy, almost soapy looking. I wasn’t able to get all the beer into my glass. Taste is tropical fruit and grapefruit up front which slowly fades to a nice bitterness.

Quite similar to the American IPAs with a strong presence of citrus hops in flavor and aroma.

Bottle at Three Johns. Hazy orange with a white head, looking pretty. Floral citrus hop aroma. Big bitter taste along with some sweet citrus flavour. Lovely dry finish. Good starter beer of the day :)

A bankable American IPA that doesn’t overdo the hops. Good taste, but not distinct enough for me.

Bottle at Koht in Oct 2014, reviewed retrospectively. A very enjoyable IPA with a malty dominance. Hops more pronounced in the aroma than taste, otherwise nicely balanced between the biscuity sweet and resinous-citrusy bitter. Alcohol well covered. Poured hazy orange with a white head that retained nicely. Good for a change among the more hop-mad IPA’s. Will try and have it again for a thorougher re-rate.

Bottle. Hazy orange pour with a generous light yellow head. Nose has the regular suspects, light resin, grapefruit and some passionfruit. Taste is juicy with mango, grapefruit and some pine needles.
