English: The thing about First Frontier is the hops. Easy… This is an IPA “the American way”, no sticky-sweet malt profile, just the real deal potent and aromatic hops. The result is a refreshingly dry, fresh and bitter IPA, heavily dryhopped with the three American hop varieties warrior, simcoe and centennial, dealing a punch of citrus, peach and grapefruit from the deepest of our hearts directly to ya face. Just added a bit of caramel malt; merely to harness and balance the alcohol. ”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”

”We all got pieces of crazy in us, some bigger pieces than other”
Ingredienser: Vand, Malt, Havre, Humle (Warrior, Simcoe, Centennial), gær.

Cloudy amber pour with a thick, frothy, offwhite head. Pleasant aroma of piney, resinous hops and biscuity malt. Very good flavor of resinous, piney hops with biscuity malt, medium dryness and a good bitter finish. The body is medium to full (bigger than what I expect in an IPA), the texture is oily and the carbonation is medium. This is very good.

Bottle. Very lively pour creates a rocky cream coloured head on a hazy orange body. Grapefruit/citrus zest, light caramel, moderate bitterness. Nice.

Keg at Mikkeller and Friends, RBESG ’15 day 3, 22/08/15. Very lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is light pine needle, orange pith, straw, melon. Taste comprises tangerine, bread dough, citric pith, straw, lemon zest, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with restrained hop bitterness. Ok - seems a little subdued compared to To Oi’s usual standards.

Bottle cap is marked 3/24/13. Pours a pretty burnt orange w/ a retaining white head & lacing. The aroma has a nice citrus undertone. The taste is citrus, grapefruit, & a little boozy. It’s quite nice on the palate at this stage for being such a "in ya face ipa." Pretty darn good 2.5 years later!

Bottle 0,33l. Pours a golden color with offwhite head. Aroma is light smokey. Taste is fresh and dry. Not too much citrus, despite the hops. A hint of peatsmoke and roasted almonds. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Damn'ed good beer og utroligt dejligt læskende IPA. Læg dertil kanten qua den høje procent.

Orange clear color with some foam. Little, light bitter hoppy (pines) smell. The taste is bitter tart with foresty and fruity parts. Bitter tart dryish aftertaste.

330ml bottle from Brewdog.com (I think). Pours hazy amber. Decent sharp floral citrus and moderate pine. Very good to-the-point bitter hop IPA.

A 330ml bottle dated best before 1st October 2016 and poured into an IPA glass. The beer poured a slightly hazy golden orange with a huge cream head that dissipated slowly leaving lots of stringy lacing. Aromas of piney hops with some pineapple and citrus grapefruit and a light caramel malt finish. Taste follows the nose with citrus grapefruit and caramel dominating followed by a piney hop finish. Medium bodied with light to medium carbonation. Overall I thought this IPA is worth a try. While not at the top of its style, it is still very refreshing on a hot summer day.
